I'm really struggling to understand Zack Polanski. He's telling us we should all be happy and prancing about on stage saying that's what it's all about...

He thinks women should accept men into SS spaces and doesn't care if we aren't happy about it. Basically, if we aren't happy, we should just shut up and dance. Is that right?

I do wonder if he gets his ideas from Spongebob.

That said, the young'uns love him. I was telling my daughter how he believes he can hypnotise women into having bigger teats (and offered the footage). She doesn't care. She thinks we should give him a chance. I'm horrified by what I'm seeing unfold.
He can duck off with dancing. He is trivialising a huge issue. Also, I don't have the bleeping energy to dance. My sciatica is playing up and I just want to sleep.

Apologies for the grotesque image about to follow but yet another example of a grim man forcing his sexual fetishes on the public. It’s bloody vile.

Had to comment to say I agree with everything you’ve said here. I feel exactly the same. Gratuitous sex scenes seem to be in just about everything these days, where they bring nothing to the story and simply degrade it. I have to switch off. What happened to great storytelling? An interesting plot? And my other particular hatred is the pornification of women in the music industry. Sick to death of seeing young women especially barely clothed and writhing around on stage while male performers are appropriately dressed. Hate it.
Totally agree with everything you’ve said. I very rarely watch television, there’s nothing that appeals to me, and there’s definitely an underlying current programmes slipping in narratives in an attempt to push certain views on us. Plus, I absolutely don’t want sex pushed into everything. It’s not necessary, and I don’t find it pleasant to watch.
I hate the pornification of the music industry too. Also, the fashion world. There’s this push that it’s empowering for women to walk around virtually naked, but it’s just reducing them to sex objects for the male gaze. I’ve also seen it said, “Well the men shouldn’t be looking.” Of course they’re going to look.

Hard agree, everything's hyper sexualised now even very mainstream entertainment. And even when it's not, it's propagandised, hyper Progressivist views worked into the scripts and storylines. Honestly mainstream entertainment used to meet the requirements and enjoyments of the mainstream public. Now, it's hard to explain, but it almost feels like the creators of mainstream entertainment actively dislike the general public and want to shove our norms and values down our throats? Almost rub our noses in it if you like. It's a very odd feeling to have. I watch mainstream entertainment or news programmes and I feel like I'm being told off, rather than informed and/or entertained? It's not an entertaining feeling that's for certain. It feels more like being lectured or mocked, tbh.

I don't watch much current telly or streaming. I stopped in around 2014, when this feeling, that I was somehow being 'managed' or 'educated' or 'corrected', rather than entertained, really started to rise up in me. Books don't do this, as long as you're careful with non-fiction (especially history) not to pick anything published after about 2000, you're basically OK and you'll get to learn a lot without being propagandised.

If I'm gonna watch somehting it'll be a film from the 90s or earlier, or some classic TV like Prime Suspect, where plots and characters could unfold in an interesting and natural way which felt human and not.....soviet. Oh and then occasionally you'll get a breakout surpirse like Breaking Bad, which adheres to old entertainment values, and that's OK. Otherwise....nah.
Agree with all your points. More often than not, especially with the BBC, I feel like I'm being fed propaganda. Case in point, The Capture recently featured an episode where an admitted wrong 'un hatched up a plan to shoot migrants coming across the Channel. The scene shows him lining up is sights on a boat only to see a young child slap bang in the middle of it. Now we all know most of the people coming across in boats are men, very few women and children. I do not advocate violence of any kind towards anyone, but this was frankly taking us for fools. Also more and more main character relationships are same sex, again no homophobia but it is becoming the norm in mainstream TV now. And once I see a loon well that show can get in the bin! Fuming at when I had to call time on Squid Game once the stunning and brave character took centre stage.

FFS, here’s another one. They’re absolutely repulsive and look nothing like women. They look like what they are, grubby, pervy soap dodging males.

Must be, I've just been reading about how the SNP rallied round to protect convicted sex offenders Jordan Linden (a pedalo) and Patrick Grady.

Malcolm Clark has a big piece on his Substack.

Is something weird going down North of the border? Or has the SNP always been this skeevy and I just didn't notice?

ETA and also the SNP sex offenders Cameron Downing (jailed for 6 years for pedalo) and Derek MacKay! OK I'm serious this is not rhetorical what is going on with SNP?
I hope that you don't mind a man replying to your question (I've lurked on here for a long time - it's just a relief to read so much common sense in an increasingly mad world).
Sturgeon liked to promote/have as many wrong' uns around her as possible because she is genuinely malign and because she liked to have as much "dirt" on her underlings as possible. No chance of a challenge to her leadership.
She not only controlled the Lord Advocate, but also Police Scotland. The case against her ex husband only came to pass because a group of "rouge" detectives at Gartcosh refused to follow orders.
I can't say too much, but if I know the extent of her corruption, the "opposition" at Holyrood most certainly did. Not one wretched MSP ever held her to account - week after week they threw softball questions at her. They're all as bad as each other.

Just saw this on FB. Why are the Greens bring sex and fetish balls to politics? Only conclusion I can draw is that they want to normalise it and bring onces in before people truly realise what is happening.

Welcome! We love men commenting on this thread, and there are a few. It's great to get a male point of view. Please comment more often!

Exactly what I said when I watched that ridiculous, misrepresentated and calculated scene. How dare their agenda be used under the guise of entertainment (again).
Also thought stop giving mad people dangerous ideas

It's always so reassuring to hear other people feel the same way. In the 'real world' you tend to get laughed at and called a prude if you are nothing but completely sex positive 100% of the time, in every way.

I've just resorted to not really watching new stuff. I feel I am missing nothing. Like, when Bridgerton started and was so hyped up I barely made it through the first episode because it bored me stupid.

I've been looking toward shows from the ancient times that were well written and engaging and could spark discussion but did not preach. I miss telly like that.

And there is an endless abundance of old movies so I'm really into that, ditto books.

I just can't pretend I'm cool with all the filth anymore. If a scene is there because it actually advances the story or is an interesting character moment? Absolutely, give it to me. That is rare these days imho. It's just a load of weirdos trying to push things further than the last person, I cringe at the desperation so hard.

As for the music industry... look at Britney Spears. The absolute worst case scenario when it comes to what hypersexualition can do to someone. :(

Thank goodness I have met my people glad to see it’s not just me.
It's really reassuring.

There were a few years in the mid-late 2010s when I didn't realise what was happening and thought I was going completely crazy but then I did start to come across people online who had noticed it too and of course they/I will get called a Nazi and all sorts in some quarters but that's just a silencing tactic. When you get stuff like Great British Railway Journeys and Lord of the Rings being flagged as things enjoyed by the 'far-right', you understand what is going on and can step away from it all. There was a huge relief when it all clicked and some will say conspiarcy theorist, paranoid but I don't feel I am. I'm just not here for other people to wag their finger at or to be outright told I'm a terrible person for disagreeing on one policy when I otherwise agree with, like, five.

I love that I'm able to be on this thread and have this discussion. It just wouldn't be possible on most places online and in real life you can forget it entirely.

Same here. I hate modern films and series for showing depraved stuff. Its not just the sexual stuff, it's the violence too. I presumed I'm more sensitive to it because I have been abused, I have no wish to see it for recreation. Old Hollywood movies are good escapism and I adore Golden Girls. Simpler times. I know thing were far from perfect in the old days but I suppose they were less complex and the world was more green.
I'm with all of you that don't enjoy modern films. I can't remember the last film I bothered going to the cinema to watch as it all seems to be just special effects with no real content now. If anything wins an Oscar or award these days I make a note to avoid it. I wish they'd bring back 'acting' and decent plots.

I can't stand being preached at either so if a show is trying to ram a message onto me particularly about trans or the environment its a turnoff.

Recently I tried to watch that show about Huw Edwards with Martin Clunes (just to find out what he did) and couldn't make it to the end because I just didn't enjoy it.

I don't have much time for Ben Houchen but an interesting announcement just days after the vote in Darlington. Comments overwhelming in favour, apart from the usual "but my toilet is unisex".
Passed unanimously, too - that in itself is a victory.

I get so annoyed with the "my toilet is unisex" idiots. Unless they make their toilet available to any random stranger walking in off the street, who needs a pee/ mit, or wants a tank, then their argument doesn't apply.

Edit - spelling
