Used to really enjoy going to the races but the last few years now it's just sickening watching the same auld yokes being ambassadors, judges etc. Patting each other on the back. In the champagne tent getting freebies left right centre while I pay through the nose for it all. Now Kieran O Malleys flipping girlfriend is an ambassador. Like what has she got to do with amything. And why are he and mandy always judging now? give me strength. Mandy Maher and her bunch of cronies, rinse and repeat. This is the first year I am not going to any day and have zero interest even going into the city for a night that week. Sick of them all.

And just to add, I’ve recently had a baby, childcare is so expensive and i have no friends or family local so it’s looking like I’m going back to work to hand it all over to childcare or not go back to work at all. I’ve been ill since giving birth and am not entitled to medical cards, so don’t start with the ‘what’s wrong with that’. People come into this country, get handed medical cards, houses, grants for x y z. Come to this country and work like the rest of us by all means, but to hop off a boat or a plane and have everything ready for you to live a life is a kick in the teeth for the rest of us who are scraping by and paid taxes in a country since we were 18.

And his ugly mug on the big screen between races. I went Monday and it was a full on instahun party. It was so off putting. The real racers were giving out down parade ring end about him.
The race committee really need to revaluate their marketing dept and dump this lot

What I always found strange is I’ve many friends who have lived in Galway all their lives and don’t really know any those people at all or follow them.. people from my home town would know of them more in that they’re all from round Mayo and that.. The races have really changed in the last few years thanks to all the Huns. I remember being in my early 20s and it was such CRAIC back then, 2010s times.
