I have literally a closet full of leggings and tshirts and I've purchased both in many different places from many different brands. I do find Spanx to be good and for me worth the money based on how much I wear them... I do not understand Gails claims that finding good leggings and tshirts are hard to find. I could give a list of great quality leggings and tshirts that cost a fraction of what hers do. I guess she is trying to save money packing and shipping herself (and probably trying to gain sympathy as well) I agree with you that kitchen table operation would probably be a nightmare for returns. Sometimes saving money isn't the right thing to do, having a proper DPD is important. I would bite the bullet and try them but I'm in the US

Same and I've an allergy to poor quality leggings in terms of having all the curves but not wanting spray paint affect either. But there are plenty of decent quality. I tend to find something I like and do it to death. Though I didn't think leggings was a potentially huge niche to try and get in on especially when they seem firmly aimed at the fashion rather then sports end.
Caught the people behind Powercut leggings on Bobby Kerrs radio show a while back. Really interesting couple but seemed to have moved from kitchen table to a professional set up very quickly and its working for them. I haven't seen them fall down the insta route either which is leading me to possibly try them. (though I could be wrong too). Atir seem found of the huns though not so much with LLL now but its always stopped me trying them.

Many businesses start at the kitchen table, there is nothing wrong with starting there, I admire people who start something for themselves. It's incredibly difficult. Gail now doing it after working with PS comes across as her being cheap and not spending money on a proper distribution centre.
I don't have any Powercut, but if you want to check if they use influencers, on IG search page, search #powercut and see if influencers come up. I would never buy anything LLL shares... there are a number of other huns that have turned me off of brands. Fingers crossed more brands start looking beyond influencer following numbers and start thinking about their customers needs more
Best pair of leggings I ever purchased was Calvin Klein from TK Max years ago around £15 . Still going strong , never lost shape or colour and lasted through gaining and loosing a few pounds, move with you , nice high waist . Not a crinkle in sight , god I hate leggings that crinkle .. Looked and looked to try and find another pair but alas no luck so far..
Are folk really going to fork out all that money for leggings that the cannot physically touch before buying . I personally like to know fabric content , to touch them to see if a comfortable stretch etc .

There's no fabric that can get rid of cellulite. If I remember from my textile days there's Emana (I could be wrong long time sine my exams ), has a cooling and smoothing effect. Nothing new has been used for years in leisure wear. I hate this anti cellulite narrative.. Feeding in to body shaming.
I think Gail once again used the wrong wording. I think she meant you can't see cellulite in her leggings rather than they are "anti cellulite" as she said. 100% agree with you Gail feeds into body shaming. She thinks because she is the only one who talks about body shapes that she has found a niche. However, the rest of the world is talking about loving your body exactly how it is and wear whatever you like.
Hopefully all brands get rid of labels. Lots of people are sensory to clothing and there really is no point to them. I think she made a big mistake going on her own at that price point. She is unknown and trying to compete with the likes of Spanx. Her pieces that were in Pamela Scott ended up on the sale rack. She doesn't have the support from her followers (made very clear by them not going and following her collection page 2 years on)

So she launched her ‘designer’ items last night. Will be interesting to read the reviews, but she will probably delete the bad ones. Absolutely no way would I pay €80 for a pair of leggings. I have a lovely pair of black leggings I bought in next about 5 years ago. Cost I think about €20. I still wear them and they wash like a dream. No baginess, falling down, wrinkling etc etc. when I wear them people say they make me look nice and slim 
Does Gail think the people that watch her stories are blind? She showed half the orders she packed last night and there were maybe 100, then this morning she said the orders doubled... that would be about 400. She says they have boxes "everywhere" waiting for DPD, yet only 3 can be seen in the room. 1000 orders my ass.

I was told by a wholesaler when I was purchasing some as a retailer .never add fabric conditioner and they last longer . They were one of my top sellers in the winter . Leggings are everywhere now , dressing up/down , sports, leisure . Now the Crinkled, un ironed fabrics are going to be big (Made in Italy brands have already been producing them for years, still are ) been 14/16 I like good leggings with a tunic, baggy jumpers or shirts that cover my butt. But never ever would I pay that for an unbranded pair. Might try Sphanx after seeing a few say they like them on here. I think Next stock them so I will go have a good feel .
