I really feel like I’ve lost a life long friend 😭.
I don’t think I can even bring myself to watch Friends again anytime soon. I feel bloody heartbroken 💔.
I was the same. I've watched clips and been reading about him most of the morning and now I'm "up and ready" (ie showered and into the living room), I was going to watch some episodes but actually can't bring myself to watch any. It's almost like I feel like I'd need to watch the perfect one, and that I'd pick the wrong one somehow?

Friends was such a big part of my life when I was in my late teens and early 20s, out on my own for the first time, barely a fiver to rub together after bills were paid, height of depression. But watching friends... God it just made it bearable. Because when I was watching friends I wasn't thinking about having FOMO or being alone. I was able to switch off...

Matthew being gone? It really does feel like I've lost a bit of that memory.

So so sad about this…way too soon, way too young…💔

One of my favourite Chandler lines was the episode where Ross tries to learn bagpipes to play at Chandler and Monica’s wedding:
Monica: Why is your family Scottish?!
Chandler: Why is your family…Ross?!

There’s literally not a single episode where he didn’t make people laugh out loud, even in his darkest times he brought happiness to peoples lives ❤

Aww this is awful news 😢 Chandler was always my favourite Friend's character. Matthew Perry was a brilliant actor!

My fave Chandler quote is when he's freaking out over something (I think when they discover Erica is having twins) and Monica is like its ok Chandler calm down, you're freaking out and he says "yes I am. JOIN ME, WON'T YOU????" in a shrill tone 😂 it cracks me up every time!

I am so sad to hear of Matthew's death. The thing about Friends is, and I'm sure I'm not alone here, that all six of them have been part of my life for so long. No matter what is happening in my life, I can tune into their lives and they will make me laugh. They are a constant. Today it really feels like one of my own friends have passed away and I can't even think about how the other five must be feeling today. I dread their statements coming out as they will make me cry. Thankfully, Matthew Perry gave us the comedy wonder that is Chandler and we will always remember him as such. As sad as it is, I have still been able to laugh at some of his best lines being shared.

One of my favourites is when Richard turns up just before Chandler proposes and he goes to Richard's apartment and says "It was working until you showed up... you big tree!" never fails to make me laugh, and then he forgets the ring.

Yes 😁. I love that.

I watched the one recently where he was 'moving to Yemen' 🤣. I adored Chandler and Janice together, they were priceless.

One of my favourites is when Janice turns up at the house next door to the one him and Monica are buying “and yet I never run into Beyoncé” 🤣

That’s a standard comment these days. The anti vaxxers are constantly trying to prove their narrative. The drug and alcohol abuse for years may well be the cause, and I don’t mean that in a judgmental way.

I think I’m still in shock. It doesn’t seem real. I watched Friends when it originally aired and think I have a few box sets on VHS of the early series.
I also loved Matthew in Fools Rush In. I think I watched in a plane flying somewhere.
It’s such a loss. So much of life ahead of him. 😭

The first night that he and Monica get together - 'it bodes well for me that speed impresses you' 😁

I think a lot of Chandlers more poignant moments get overlooked for his funny ones but there were quite a few where he was an amazing friend. My favourite is where he speaks to Erica and convinces her to choose them to adopt her baby after the files had gotten mixed up.
Loved his moment with Pheebs before he walked her up the aisle too 🥺

Another of my favourite bits is when Monica is making candy for the neighbours and Chandler goes out to speak to them.

“I bet nobody here knows her name.”
“candy lady?”
“No, not candy lady”
The way he throws his voice when he says this always makes me laugh haha.

Chandler: I'm sorry. When you were in high school you made out with a 50-year-old woman?
Ross: Hey, she didn't look 50.
Chandler: Did she look 16?

And when he’s mocking Janine “Oh Chandler, I just lost myself in the movement”

I used to fall asleep to Friends every night as a teenager because my house was creepy af, it was a huge comfort to me. The way Matthew Perry delivered his lines is iconic, the fact I can read so many of these quotes and know exactly how he said it, the mannerisms, everything is a testament to his talent. Today is a very sad day.

There was a moment from an episode that was on the other day, when Monica and Ross were talking about how they used to dress up as Donny and Marie Osmond, and then after they've done their...
🎶 I'm a little bit country, and he's a little bit rock n roll 🎶 bit, Chandler just pauses for a split second and deadpans 'I'm leaving you' 😂

His timing was just impeccable 💔

My absolute favourite episode is The One With Rachel's Dream where Chandler and Ross go to the hotel in Vermont together. I cry laughing every time. 🤣

Another I watched recently, where Joey and Ross end up competing for the same woman.
When Chandler and Ross first see her, she is moving into her new place, and he says to Ross that it's so much easier to talk to women now that he is with Monica.
Then she actually speaks to them and Chandler simpers in return and can't get any words out. 😁

Another where he pretends to be Bob, and then answers the phone as Bob after he had sex with the girl.
Deep voice.
'Ih?'🤣
'He was so awkward and bumpy.'
'Maybe it was some new technique that takes time to get used to.'
'Well there wasn't much time to get used to it, if you know what I mean.'
