There is an interview from when his book came out where he says “you have the desperation of a drowning man” and it’s given me goosebumps. It won’t play the sound when I’ve tried to post it so I can’t put it up.

I love Friends. Literally have seen every episode hundreds of times, it’s always on in the background, it helped me through the grief of losing my mum and was my ultimate comfort. I hate when people talk about how it’s aged badly etc. Just take it for what it is, a funny show from its time.
I’ve had a cry about Matthew, I think the first celebrity death that’s ever got to me like that. I just can’t believe that he’s gone. He led such a sad life privately with so many demons, yet brought so much joy in his work. I’m sarcastic because of Chandler! I’m not sure I’m going to be able to watch it for a while now View attachment 2538489

Same here. It's like my comfort blanket and has helped me through many a bad time.
I could recite most of the lines at this stage. Loads of them are running through my head right now.

I wish that things had gone so much better for Matthew, during his lifetime.
My favourite Friend. Always was and always will be.

I think a lot of Chandlers more poignant moments get overlooked for his funny ones but there were quite a few where he was an amazing friend. My favourite is where he speaks to Erica and convinces her to choose them to adopt her baby after the files had gotten mixed up.

His Instagram is quite haunting - lots of people asking 6d ago if he was ok/needed help as did a number of Batman related posts (some people saying about a last chapter reference to that but can't confirm). Hope it wasn't intentional but who knows he'd asked his asst to run an errand and they found him on return.

I watched it recently . Mr Garibaldi on stage too.

And when he does Joey's eyebrows because that's how he earned his pocket money when he was young.
The parents snarking at each other at Chandler and Monica's wedding. Walking him up the aisle, together. Aww.

One of my favourite episodes overall is Phoebe's wedding and Chandler gets to walk her up the aisle while Ross ends up holding the dog.

I really feel like I’ve lost a life long friend .
I don’t think I can even bring myself to watch Friends again anytime soon. I feel bloody heartbroken .

So sad. Like most of us here I grew up watching friends and no matter how many times I’ve seen it, it brings me joy and laughter when I put it on. Matthew Perry and Chandler were a massive part of that, he created such an iconic character. So sad to think he is gone.

Another thing I loved him in was 17 again, I was a hugeee Zac Efron fan so watched it religiously and he played such a good part.

One of my favourite scenes is where Ross has been to the tanning place that went horribly wrong and says he went to the place that’s Monica recommended and Chandler goes ‘Was that place the sun?’

So funny, that episode is on at 11 on Comedy Central for anyone wanting to watch.

Such sad news, he was one of my favourite friends. Rest in peace Matthew
