Can I just say how fabulous it is to be able to chat F1! Thank you so much @STJ_95 for making this thread as I was worried my post was slightly off topic on the Lewis thread.
I must admit to wanting to make the thread for a while, I just didn't because I didn't think there would be anyone who wanted to chat F1 here. But then the Hamilton thread happened and I thought there's a few of us at least.

Has anyone been to any races? Or have ones they'd like to do?
In my dreams I'd win the euromillions lottery and one year follow the calendar around the world and see a whole season.

But realistically Silverstone, maybe Monza or Spa someday.

Did anyone watch ferrari's Q&A with Carlos? His answers seemed so controlled. Pizza, Monza, red.. I mean boy is all about burgers, why can't he has a non-italian favourite food?
Poor Carlos. McLaren freed that man and let him shine. Now Ferrari are shoving him back in a cage. Poor bloke.

Ferrari really need to treat their drivers with more respect. Red Bull obviously took lessons from Ferrari given how they treat all their junior drivers and No.2 drivers. Can't wait for Gasly to get free and go race for Alpine and be appreciated.

Catching up on the highlights on channel 4 and Instagram. It might not be the most popular opinion over the last couple of years but I do love Vettel. Seeing his helmet swap with Charles and then handing out beers to the Ferrari team was so lovely. I hope Aston Martin treats him well

Its being reported that Mercedes are planning on replacing Bottas with Russell before the end of the season...
I'd be so surprised as well if they changed. Mercedes like the stability of this driver pairing. And I just can't see Toto sanctioning this mid season. Not unless Bottas implodes within the team or causes major problems that become a risk to the team competing for the two titles.

I'm glad george has been made to apologise for his behaviour after the crash. The fact is, all that really matters at the end of the race is that everyone gets home in one piece. George had no idea if Valterri had been injured and should have at least checked he was ok before having a rant at him. He is in danger of becoming too big for his boots.

Valtteri is feeling the heat no question. I wouldn’t like to be him facing Toto.
When they announced earlier that Bottas is all fine and been released from the medical room, said to my husband I think that'll be little comfort and he'd probably rather stay in there 😂.

Couldn't watch in real time with you guys as we had to pause it once or twice. The Russell/Bottas incident, if I had to place blame somewhere - it looked like GR had enough space to me and if anything he overreacted to a slight movement from VB? And I say that as a fan of GR. But, tricky conditions and all that, things happen 🤷.

Awful weekend all round for Bottas though. Did anyone notice he chose not to kneel again at the start? Possibly some tricky politics down at Mercedes at the mo...

Love that Mazepin site, bloody hilarious! 😂

Back in 2013 lewis said he feared fans would lose interest in f1 because Vettel was dominant. You would have thought he would have pushed for a better teammate to make it more interesting.
I think they all say this until they become the current champion. Same boring shit went on in the Schumi era. We all know they are legends, but can't help it after a while it becomes boring.
