I am still shocked seeing Max like that. When they did not show him for like a 1 min, it was scarry. I am so used to them jumping out of the car even after a huge crash.

I’m a bit late to the max/Lewis crash comment but I think it’s worth pointing out that people at the track can only see what’s happening on the big screen. I was in club corner and the footage showed a sudden big dust cloud and Lewis emerging first. That’s why people cheered. I thought max had caught the gravel - nobody realised he had had a serious crash till it was replayed and then the reaction was of concern and everyone clapped when he got out.

That’s what I’m worried about. I have just made a bad mistake of catching up on Twitter and Tumblr. Apparently Max is racist too but I can’t suss out how that happened… isn’t it the racists who have made racist comments that are the racist ones? Really think the additional drama from RBR and Mercedes is not needed.

It’s a racing incident and thankfully Max is ok. Concentrate on the next race and move on!!

Checo signing - is their anyway to compare him, Albon and Pierre’s results. In my opinion he hasn’t done anything great and they’ve signed him early on for a red bull signing

Tbh, I think Perez is just what Red Bull wants right now and I’m not at all surprised he’s been signed on for 2022. He’s got the experience, had some great (and terrible but so have many of the others) drives this year and he’s the team player that they want. I’m pleased for him!

come on Mercedes, tell us who’s gonna be your second driver for 2022!!

He had such an impressive season in 2014, 3rd in championship and a few wins, it all seems to have gone the wrong way. Unless he can keep his mclaren seat or pull out a move like Perez to red bull it just seems he will just be going backwards.

He had to leave Red Bull, the signs were very clear, that was gonna be Max's team. I just think we all expected Ferrari to come knocking but it never happened. And the Renault move didn't work out, this year at McLaren isn't going to plan. He will get 2022 as a clean slate for everyone with new regs. But if it doesn't work for him next year, McLaren will likely look elsewhere and Daniel will have limited options because there is so much talent coming through.

I reckon Danny will go to Indycar in 2023 and I will be devastated.

I'd not be upset by that. As an IndyCar fan. I think everyone seeing Romain flourish and it's attractive to them. IndyCar is also 1000x more fan friendly and gives fans awesome access to drivers and garages
