Sky commentators (I think it was Brundle) already saying things like Perez needs a good weekend, he needs to perform etc. Which is disappointing to hear. All the drivers who have moved have struggled to varying extents. Perez has the hardest job driving a car built for Verstappen, and they have very different styles. It's never going to be easy.

Aren't all drivers under pressure each race? Perez will have pressure on him, Red bull are ruthless if not good enough for them. Maybe Bottas has it too, Merc can say all they like but we know who they all prefer. For me young Mick S and poor old Mazepin have one of the toughest jobs, the Haas is so far behind every other car due to them not bothering with it as concentrating on next year, fair enough but each week must be tough for them?

I would want to distance myself from him professionally even if she were to race or use her maiden name professionally it wouldn't look as nepotistic. Even if he backed her career moves financially I would want him to be a silent partner in it or not have him publicly involved

My nephew is a race day support engineer for McLaren so basically has to know how to build the car it,s his 4th season and loves it. Mercedes have tried to poach him but he believes that McLaren are going from strength to strength now and on the cusp of success and is happy to stay where he is.

That's so awesome what a job can I ask how did he get into it?

I think it was a rare mistake, but I give it to Mclaren. So many of the crew stood outside, some with their back, Bottas could hit them.

Yeah agreed. Most of the outstanding drivers in F2 are with Ferrari (who have a say in the ferrari, haas and alpha seats) and red bull academy.
On another note, will be interesting to see what happens with Gasly. He won’t be going back to Red Bull so I guess his time at alpha tauri is limited…?

Agree Max knew more from his Dad and red bull gained from that, whereas Pierre Alex and Dani yes been in car racing or karts but not the knowledge of Max. Be interesting to see how Perez does as the rumours are already out there, new driver next year possibly. Just rumours maybe.

I meant the same as RedBull likes to emotionally abuse their new drivers with this stupid comments. But that is not new for Max, he can handle it since Jos does the same.
