Yeah that’s a tough conversation to have with Logan. Talk about knock his confidence, his own team don’t have faith in him

I watched it until Max got past. Then watched last few laps. Not sure what Lewis was doing! Plus the Ferraris was it really needed to do that at the end? Could have been curtains for both.
even as a Charles Fan, he has to stop this emotional and erratic quality to his driving tbh. while i know everyone wants to be on the podium, especially as a ferrari driver in monza, there was really no need for it and there were at least two occasions where it could have all gone wrong. i would have been really annoyed on carlos’ behalf if it had!

This race is so boring. Max needs a better team mate. At least Merc have some/ alot of competition between drivers
i can’t see checo staying. if he does, he has no self respect 🤣 i thought there was a strange disconnect between him and the mechanics at the end, not to mention his engineer calling him by the wrong name at the start.

speaking of RB, very happy for liam lawson - who’s had a really good two races imo, especially with such limited buildup for the first. he’s really handled himself well.

Lando is being really hard on himself in his interview. Puts pretty much all the blame on himself and said he's fed up making bad decisions.
Plus it's weird seeing Brad Pitt being in the drivers interview pit!

Horrible for Logan. Vowles has basically said 'this guy's shit and we have no faith' to the entire world, which is potentially career ending.

It's a poisoned chalice for Alex. If he doesn't score points, and I think it's unlikely he does in that car this weekend, then he's got a target right on his back. We'll also have to see how he performs without Logan's performance to flatter him, we know the Williams isn't the worst car on the grid (Alpines have that covered and the Stake also seems shit) so will he actually look any good without a weaker teammate?

Any driver thinking about a move to Williams will also be watching this really carefully. Not only is the team so ill prepared that they don't have a spare chassis (and likely didn't have one in Saudi either!), but they're completely willing to abandon all concepts of fairness to prioritise their preferred driver.
Completely agree, its going to be eyes on Alex this weekend by the looks of things because the news hasn't gone down well. I think at this stage too when both drivers are on 0 points its even more unfair

What a race. Feel a bit conflicted about the McLaren situation. Max is behaving like the old Max ...

200th podium for LH 🥳🥳🥳

Did Charles know Lewis was coming when he signed his multi year deal? I’m assuming giving Arthur a go in an old Ferrari was not what convinced him to become a number two driver to a seven time world champion.

And is this Lewis giving up on an eighth title? Going for a career swan song in red?

I've got nothing against Ferrari at all, probably my 2nd team, but I'll be incredibly sad if Lewis didn't see his career out in a Merc. It can only mean merc have got a bloody tractor again? Or has he always lusted after a season with the prancing horse?

Alonso could be a good shout. He's surely only got a year or two left and he'd love a shot in a better team before he retires. I don't think Mercedes are looking for a long term option right now - they've got Antonelli who'll be ready in a couple of years so I think they'll go for a stop gap to see them through and Alonso fits that perfectly. Plus, him and George get on really well. Certainly wouldn't rule him out!
My husband also thinks Alonso is a possibility. I said there's no doubt he'll be excited by the news of a big shift around, and I'm sure he's 'just happened to be passing' Brackley, with the finest chorizo and Rioja in the car. 🥰😂

Headlines like this probably don’t help either, especially when we know he’s already hard on himself, I haven’t had time to read the article to see if it’s fair or harsh
View attachment 3067920
but he’s not the first and won’t be the last driver to have an article like that written about him. and that headline is true, and he struggles to convert poles to wins in a way that only charles can match.

it does always interest me with lando how different the tone is when he’s interviewed post-race on sky (compared to say george or charles going for similarity aged drivers) where it’s always aw lando you’ll get it next time! don’t worry! whereas most others get well what went wrong there etc. he IS hard on himself, but no more or less than anyone else i would say. they all just manifest it in different ways and they all can’t dodge bad/honest press for it.

Kinda feel like with Jos' track record, he should sit this one out 🙄. That said, now one person has broken silence on the situation, I wonder who else will?
If this is true of course. I do wonder what the employees feel like having to work alongside the creep? The actual workers not the highly paid execs. It cannot be easy as some will be bothered by it others may not but as ot was a Co worker I just wonder how they all feel. I know a job is a job and if you love it you are 1 lucky person as many hate they jobs.

Actually debating getting up tomorrow …
Have turned off every single notification on my phone and will put it on as soon as I wake up! I’ve got up for every race in the past but the current Max driving off into the sunset has me valuing my sleep more.

Fell asleep shortly after the start and woke up just as Norris was starting to catch up. Best timed nap ever 😂
The Hulk fighting for and getting P6 was also amazing to see. Agree with @Multi-21 why did they resign Perez when he can't even get on the podium at a race like this.

Good point, if I was a female employee at Red Bull I think I’d be considering my options right now. Loads of the teams are based relatively closely to each other and I’m sure they would be welcomed with open arms at a competitor if they wanted to go.
