For those asking, Elle is 35 (36 in April) and Nico is same age. I would've put him in his early 40s.

I don't buy that at all that he earns that much money. If you earn't that money you would be out all the time, going on holiday etc ....... she is always at home (boring), never goes on holiday apart from Cornwall & dresses like a 50 year old women. I actually think she is telling the truth.
She tried to claim that when she was on here. "Don't you think I'd have had more holidays than just a week in Dubai over the last five years if he earned that?" or something she said. Well no, actually because you have always claimed all your money went on renovating your house and then you were grieving for your child would have been my response (I was actually on holiday myself when she replied and completely forgot about it by the time I got home)

Like I said, I worked in the mortgage industry for 24 years and dealt with plenty of applications from bankers/traders. I was an underwriter for several years of those - I saw their payslips, I looked at their bank statements, I assessed references from their employers. I know what they earn. He's been with JP Morgan for seven years and he trades in oil. I'm telling you, given the hours he puts in, £200,000 pa basic. She accused me of "just Googling" and making up a figure but I know what I'm talking about.

I get that many of the people on this thread aren’t Elle fans but don’t you think writing a post about having tea on someone’s husband and then not elaborating is a bit cruel? Youve established in the thread she is watching this thread and whatever you may think of her she’s a new mum probably packed with hormones and feeling abit “rubbish” about herself as many do post partum.... for there to then be a thread which suggests Nico has played away seems a bit unfair and I’d hate to be reading that about my husband without any context.
There's nothing to suggest he's "played away" at all - just that there is some, as yet unspecified, gossip.

It's all geographical (I think that's the right word?) because surely if your earning 200k a year with a 600k house in a more expensive part of the country it's the same as someone earning 50k with a 150k house in a cheaper area? Cost of living is different in different parts of the country. With regards to paying for her reno, a trades person here probably works on say £200 a day where someone in Surrey will be working for £500 a day? And like it's been said, she doesn't skimp!
I like her house and style as it's very similar to my own.. I just can't afford it 🤣

Pointless coming on here and saying you have gossip about someones husband then leaving everyone hanging. If you have then say it, if not then shut up.

Apparently they're getting more building work done so can't be too hard up for cash!
Yes they submitted an application 6 months ago for Erection of detached two storey outbuilding and new vehicular access.
One of the neighbours objected 🙈

WHAT 🤣 where the duck would they put a detached two storey building? Surely not at the bottom of their long narrow garden? That would look most odd! I know she said way back when that they’d like to do a loft conversion with an en-suite so I assumed you were going to say that!

I agree about his wages. They’re minted let’s not pretend they’re not 😂 she’s CONSTANTLY buying stuff and it’s all pricey - no B&M tat for Elle! She might say they don’t have loads of money but that’s subjective in my opinion 😂 our household income is around £45k since I went part time after having kids - I’d say we live comfortably (in a less expensive area than her of course) and to some people we probably even seem “well off”, but I feel like a bloody pauper compared to her and her spending habits!

I think the loft had been done already....

Its at the end of their garden. Neighbour to the left of them is kicking off saying its blocking his light and is objecting. There has been no update since. The neighbour to the other side who is attached to them hasn't made any comment.

Completely agree. Petty example but the two armchairs they have near the door in their kitchen are £845 EACH in the basic fabric and the pendant above her kitchen table is £485. Imagine all the flights to Dubai you could get with £2,175. IMO there is nothing more insulting/ patronising than a person who is more than comfortable financially trying to make you believe that they’re not. Must think the average peasant won’t clock it. For what it’s worth I don’t give a tit how they or anyone else spends their money, but it bothers me when people have influence over others and represent themselves falsely.

They bought their house at the end of 2014 for 425. Now worth 595. Godalming, nice enough place with a good train service to London but not much there tbh.

Looking at that planning application, they submitted it in June 2020, just a month before the baby was due 😳😳. I dunno, the timing seems odd to me just before your new baby is due and in the middle of a pandemic 😮. They’re obviously struggling financially though 😂

Agree with all this; there’s absolutely no chance people would be following her in their thousands if she was (e.g.) a poor working class woman from Cheetham hill with a messy house. When you think of it like that, bluntly, it’s very sad. Instead, people will listen to the musings of a pretty, rich blonde with picture-perfect house, gadgets and branded gear.

The whole "we dont go to dubai" is BS to say you dont have money. We have family in UAE and travel there cheaper than our holiday to Cornwall 🙄🤣 plus she has been to stay near me locally and the location was one if the most expensive in the area...

They are loaded make no mistake. She mentioned before about not wanting to go on holiday as oppose to being able to afford it. He was doing some exams a few years back (Im a long term lurker😂) and his business is definitely well paid. Dont forget people in those jobs earn that money because they put in the hours- they cant be jetting off on holiday every fortnight. And yes i agree Cornwall is just as expensive (obvs you dont have to fly) and i know they have the parents house but that just adds to it for me😂 she claimed they wernt that well-off because she wants to seem more relatable (or maybe she thinks that kind of money isnt much to write home about 🤷🏼‍♀️😂)
