Honestly just don't know why you'd bother if you know you won't stay in medicine?! Purely to say you're a Dr?? I 1000% support all NHS staff being given a pay rise and better working conditions overall but let's be real they've been underpaid and overworked since well before Faye started training so it can't be that much of a surprise.

I'm starting to find her unwatchable and my main irritation is her literal lack of respect for timings she's always running late when someone is waiting for her and it literally makes me rage. In her most recent vlog she said they were already 5 mins late for the film but stopped to get pick and mix. And I know there's trailers, etc but it's just a constant theme of hers I've noticed.

The reason people are so concerned about her promoting Natural Cycles IS because they're thinking critically.

Yes it may have an equivalent, or higher, 'success rate' at avoiding pregnancy than condoms or the pill its also WILDY less reliable. It relies on you having a consistent cycle every month and you have to temp at the same time every single day, the slightest thing can impact on your result even if it's a mild cold or a hangover, so then you are expected to use additional protection anyway.

Weird that she seems to have removed her YouTube video about Natural Cycles yet is still talking about it on her IG stories...

As I said earlier in the thread when I watched that video before I just got the impression she was just obsessed with wanting to have sex without a condom. I mean I get it that's great and all but why dress it up with the whole Natural Cycles thing as I don't believe for one second that this a 'safer' way of avoiding pregnancy than using a condom.

Double posting as I've just watched her recent vlog.

Honestly, I feel about 80% of it should never have touched YouTube and should have been a chat between her and her mentor /manager.

I found it really interesting she did reflect on the need to be more professional but didn't link that to her oversharing about her hospital.

I do think she's backed herself in to a corner. Her channel is based on her being a med student but not she's a doctor people aren't going to want to hang around for lazy weekend or holiday vlogs but she is very limited in what she can actually share.

Not sure if anyone watches ViolinMD but I've been watching her right throughout her training and beyond but she's always been so professional throughout. She is Canadian and does have a very different vibe to Faye but I just feel Faye still acts almost juvenile?

I'm CERTAIN she used to vlog about a fit guy in the library and she ran into him one day in crocs and they got talking and then confirmed when her and 'dyl' got together it was him...

I don't have the will to watch anything back, plus she's removed a lot of her uni vlogs but I'm certain that's how she originally said they met...

I've noticed she rewrites her own history quite a bit as I remember her breaking up with her long term boyfriend while in medical school and kept it quite quiet and then recently admitted she did it in a rash ADHD decision making phase... Poor sod.

can you imagine what she would be like if it failed and she did get knocked up? She continuously harks on about how busy she is, as an influencer and a “full time NHS doctor” (she won’t let you forget the second part.

she has a tendency to act like she is the hardest worker known to mankind even though nobody is forcing her to juggle them both.

I did used to really like her but now, most videos, if not going on about how to be productive/manage your time are “woe is me, I’m so tired. I’m a full time NHS doctor, don’t you know”

Yeah I think those videos are filler videos for the vlogs but I don't really like them. Can't put my finger on why

I’m really intrigued to hear more about the stuff she’s posting about when she was in medical school and the emails that were sent about her. Can understand why she is very angry about that but a bit worried that this whole thing might backfire, medicine is a relatively small community and I wouldn’t want to make enemies, especially if she decides to return. She’s shared a couple of tiny snippets but not whole emails, would be interested to see the full things, suspect the first one she shared might be that sponsorships are a conflict of interest which I personally think is right. Second one which references big brother is definitely not right though!

Sick of her drip feeding content about why she's quitting and what she's doing next but I'm the clown that keeps watching.

Her part 4 has really wound me up.

1. Saying there's no rule book and how to speak or dress but surely common sense tells you all you need to know and uploading videos of you getting drunk on the internet does not instill people with confidence in you - obviously doctors SHOULD have social lives outside of work and have fun but the majority of theirs isn't visible to anyone googling their name.

2. Complaining she felt out of place in medical school as she was bleach blonde and not privately educated. I can completely empathise with feeling out of place but has she ever thought of the benefits that brings while in the hospital and bringing some wider representatives into the medical field?
