Loved this one, as does my husband ( between us, we have several different Penhaligons scents- both love Halfeti , he also like Quercus and my favourite is Luna and Blenheim bouquet for everyday wear....also love Juniper Sling )
He's also got Endymion, Hamman and Sartorial in his collection, all of which I wear from time to time !

...he enquired as to what to buy instead and was recommended to try this one, which he's bought but yet to use!

Just wish they'd stop discontinuing their classics
I've also got a few Miller Harris perfumes which are of a similar genre to Penhaligons if you're looking for something similar ( can recommend L'air de Rien, Tea Tonique and Vetiver Insolent )
I miss Malabah by Penhaligon’s.

Not sure that is the smell I would be looking for 🙈
That would make me retch.
Dug out some perfumes I haven’t worn that much recently today:
Shalimar cologne, Elie Saab, penhaligons Equinox bloom, and I’m also enjoying a new one; Beso Canalla that I just tried yesterday. I have tried layering Beso Canalla with Matin Calin tonight and it some how allows me to smell the top notes that don’t shine when used by itself. On me it’s very much sandalwood and burnt sugar by itself. The top notes are still fleeting but I did smell them this time, and the milk note from matin calin became really strong.

Have you tried Hermes Un Jardin Sur La Lagune?

It is a floral but has a salty marine note. Even though it is an edt it has quite good lasting power, and you can pick up a 50ml bottle for £40 or so.
This range has a few winners. I love Un Jardin Sur La Nil, which has a big top note of green mango. Amazing in summer. Prices have shot up though, so I haven’t repurchased.

Shalimar has become a proper favourite recently. I love Guerlain perfumes generally, and this was bought blind for me at Christmas. Must admit to being really unsure at first spray, but once it dries down, oh my goodness, I can’t stop sniffing myself as it morphs into this lovely creamy vanilla and spice.

Thoughts on Nishane perfumes? I have the chance to try hundred silent ways in my scentbox; wondered if anyone had any thoughts x

I've not tried that one but I've heard good things about the whole range. I think I picked up my bottle from All Beauty where it was about £45 with an extra 10% off in the sale for the 50ml size to wear this summer.

Heeley Palm (Coccobello) is a fresh and elegant coconut, salty and green.
To me it works just as well on holiday as it does in the city.

SOTD Wednesday
Marc Jacob’s - Daisy Twinkle

SOTD - today
New Notes - Cocktail Maracuja ( scent addict for this month). Found this heavy on cardamon and ginger . I didn’t mind it - but can’t imagine I will be wanting to wear all the time

I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who likes it! Which version? I have a few, a hair one, the cologne, the two parfum initial versions, soufflé de parfum, the edt and an edp. I generally use the hair one or the cologne - mainly because i like the citrus top note in the cologne, but I should dig the rest out of storage.

Just the plain old edp. I was really a bit worried the first time I sprayed it - almost smelled a bit medicinal - like a wintergreen/aniseed twist I think. Husband was so pleased to give me this bottle of perfume knowing how much I love Samsara and Mitsouko. My faith in Guerlain was restored thankfully!

I can’t smell samsara properly! It obviously has a smell, and people like it on me but it’s very muted to me and I don’t think I smell it like other people. Mitsouko is a beast though, really strong.

you might like bronze goddess - nuit. This makes me feel like im on holiday in a hot country and having a meal out in the evening. When its still warm but not scorching. I also think the coconut note is strong .
I think I saw that in the fragrance shop last week, it was like a pink bottle? I will go back in for a travel size

I have just seen them at the airport and I’m sure they were about £90! Some really nice ones but I wasn’t paying that much knowing I can hopefully find them cheaper elsewhere
