Eden perfumes are really good. They have a shop in Brighton I think. I know ive been to one of theirs somewhere and tested loads. They have very close dupes for pretty much everything!

Not sure that is the smell I would be looking for 🙈
That would make me retch.
Dug out some perfumes I haven’t worn that much recently today:
Shalimar cologne, Elie Saab, penhaligons Equinox bloom, and I’m also enjoying a new one; Beso Canalla that I just tried yesterday. I have tried layering Beso Canalla with Matin Calin tonight and it some how allows me to smell the top notes that don’t shine when used by itself. On me it’s very much sandalwood and burnt sugar by itself. The top notes are still fleeting but I did smell them this time, and the milk note from matin calin became really strong.

let us know how you get on with it please :)
I've already received it! Shipping cost almost the same as the perfume (I only bought a small one in case I didn't like it, which is kind of ridiculous. I could have just given it away) but I can order from the same city and not get it so quickly. Initial thoughts are good! It smells similar. I think the Chanel smells slightly more luxurious which a) could be my inner snob and b) it's a fraction of the price. I need to try it on for longevity and see how it wears as the day goes on but so far, so good!

I have it and like it but I find it better in winter, it’s a bit cloying in warmer weather. It’s really sweet and powdery, reminds me a bit of eau duelle (the edt) although I’ve not heard anyone else make this comparison!
Thank you ❤ I tried it today; been a bit out of perfume obsession recently (no excuse but had a baby perfume is perfume) and I usually use baccarat rouge 540 extrait; but it’s a winter smell to me (it just smells wintry on me) so I’m looking for a summer smell but I’m not a huge fan of fruity coconut type scents. Sorry for banging on x

Shalimar has become a proper favourite recently. I love Guerlain perfumes generally, and this was bought blind for me at Christmas. Must admit to being really unsure at first spray, but once it dries down, oh my goodness, I can’t stop sniffing myself as it morphs into this lovely creamy vanilla and spice.
I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who likes it! Which version? I have a few, a hair one, the cologne, the two parfum initial versions, soufflé de parfum, the edt and an edp. I generally use the hair one or the cologne - mainly because i like the citrus top note in the cologne, but I should dig the rest out of storage.

Speaking of Dune my fave fragrance i ever got from Duty free years back was Dune Sun, it was fruity/ blackcurrant’y but then dried down to the signature warm sandalwood of Dune, wish they’d bring it back!

SOTD Byredo Gypsy Water.

This was the first fragrance I fell in love with when I first got into perfumes and I found it immediately likeable.

I still enjoy it now but I'm getting to the end of my 100ml bottle and might look for something that lasts a bit longer when I've finished it.

Oh that’s a shame. I haven’t found a salty one that is good longevity unfortunately. I like a good powerhouse perfume x
Have you tried Hermes Un Jardin Sur La Lagune?

It is a floral but has a salty marine note. Even though it is an edt it has quite good lasting power, and you can pick up a 50ml bottle for £40 or so.

Just the plain old edp. I was really a bit worried the first time I sprayed it - almost smelled a bit medicinal - like a wintergreen/aniseed twist I think. Husband was so pleased to give me this bottle of perfume knowing how much I love Samsara and Mitsouko. My faith in Guerlain was restored thankfully!

It’s here!! It’s sweet but the sandalwood balances it out really nice and gives it a woody note so it’s not sickly. Would be a nice going out perfume as it’s quite sexy.
Consider me influenced! Signed up for Scentbird and chosen this as my first scent!

SOTD - Akro Glow

Bought this using a discount from sniph. It’s ok but not for me . Kind of reminds of Initio Parfum - Musk Therapy ( which ended up very Mr Sheen on me ). This has gone a similar way but it’s not as overpowering .
Performance wise I also don’t think there is much in the way of sillage or performance . I sprayed it a couple of hours ago and it’s already starting to disappear.

Those who bought the Cult Beauty perfume sample box, how are you liking it? For me nothing has stood out until today when I tried Debaser by DS&Durga. Not usually a fan of green scents but it reminds me of being outside, in the garden, visiting somewhere during the warm days of spring. It’s weird how emotions can sometimes get tied to a fragrance because for me it feels comforting and nostalgic for some reason.
I got it, the one I like the most is the fugazzi orange crush, it reminds me of fleur narcotique. Nothing else stood out to me

Sorry Beach is Bobbi Brown: Beach. It is hard to get but I picked up a bottle on vinted recently. That to me is the closest smelling coconut/sunscreen oil smell I have ever found.

Sometimes free people and anthropologie sellt it. Just googling and ubuy stocks it and Small Aromas sell samples of it.
It’s for sale on the Bobbi brown website, can you check it is the right one before I order please?

SOTD Miu Miu Fleur De Lait. I’m still searching for my coconut sunscreen fragrance and as much as I love this I don’t get much coconut!
Have you tried Soleil Blanc, Vanilla Vibes, Bronze Goddess and Beach? I hear great things about the Vacation fragrance too but I am banning myself from buying any more this year.

What is Kilian Princess like? I have looked at this a few times as i am always seeing it pop up on Tiktok.
You also didn't ask me but it's my favourite marshmallow fragrance. Sweet and fluffy but that's kind of calmed down by the airy green tea.

Update on my coconut hunt!
I have ordered a shit load of samples and the Bobbi brown beach! I’ve also been looking at what I already have and rediscovered my vanilla powder extrait decant and BTSO free coco sample! Both very very nice but not quite right!
