I've splurged and bought VB San Ysidro Drive. It should arrive today and I'm beyond excited. I'm really pleased that I kept the samples I had with some mascara I got - they've all really grown on me. I'd have got the Portofino by choice but it was out of stock in the smaller bottle. May ask hubby for that for my birthday although he counted the bottles I had the other day and told me I had a problem

Has anyone tried Zara Moonlight Whisper?

It's not similar to SDJ in my opinion. Closer to the kayali but the kayali is much better

I agree, it’s nothing like SDJ and is more like the Kayali. I think it’s really good for the price

I'm in a cloud of m&s Discover Sunset today and mmm mmm I smell fabulous
It's pistachio, tuberose and tonka so very sweet but with a bit of a green kick
Layers beautifully with my Sol Janeiro body lotion
It's pissing rain outside but I smell like a warm day abroad somewhere sunny

My VB sample set arrived today but I’m so bunged up with hay fever I’ll have to wait to test them as I can’t smell anything. Also got a posh gloss which is amazing, such a lovely texture when on.

Keep going back to them as I found that they all really changed. I hated the Suite 302 initially but the dry down is actually really nice and they are all quite complex fragrances. The bitten lip tint is amazing, I usually hate the texture/feel of lipstick but this is fab.

Question for the rest of you fragrance heads: is there a note, or notes, that no matter how perfect the rest of the notes are in a fragrance composition, if a fragrance contains that note that it instantly becomes a no-go for you?

For me, it's oud and mimosa. Any of those notes and I'm out, even if the fragrance is A* in all other respects. My chemistry amps those notes to a really nauseating level.

I’m a bit iffy with neroli. In theory I should love it but I don’t think I do!

Oh, tuberose is a good shout. Easy to be overdone and swamp all other notes. Mimosa is in a lot of summer floral fragrances (Guerlain, L'Artisan, Penhaligons have some real eeeeek ones for me) and a lot of home fragrance candles. Just cannot abide it.

I'm OK with leather sometimes, but I completely get this. It sometimes has that new car on a hot day smell, or old shoes/ridden saddle funk. And it's in so many mens fragrances...

Agh, thats annoying! It is weird when on paper something should be up your alley, but in practice it's not. Neroli is OK for me (i quite like bitter citrus notes), but orange blossom had to be done well or I'll hate it even though they're both roughly in the same citrussy summery wheelhouse. It's all a bit of trial and error!

I think it's Sandalwood I hate. It's in Molecule 04 (I think) and I hated myself for splashing that on me.

Also something floral I can never remember until I spray and regret.

I got one fake looking Dior pure poison elixir from there once. I got my money back, everything else has been fine.

Yes. A few times. Never had an issue!

Molten Brown fans- I ordered a travel size of wild mint and lavandin, first spray I really like it. It’s unisex and definitely can see why, I do prefer fresh musky or fruity scents to floral, this fresh and crisp. I’m wondering if ingredients might help repel mossies on holidays…already trying to justify possible full size airport buy

Just ordered CK euphoria for a very bargain price of £35 for 100ml. Such a throwback, it used to be my favourite perfume, I know it's not so popular now but I smelled it in a shop today and I still like it can't go wrong with that price haha
