Hi there

Hope you don't think I'm a weird stalker ha but I've noticed you raved about Parfums de Marly a few times on here and you're inspired me to purchase a bottle ASAP

Because it's quite pricey I was going to get a small bottle but then I saw the discovery sets

I'm wondering have you tried all these scents and your opinion of course

Hi!! Not at all, I feel honoured

The discovery set is a lovely way to introduce yourself to the fragrances especially if you aren’t sure what you’d like.

Delina - beautiful fragrance with floral and fruit notes, smells fresh, very feminine, I feel like the most prominent noted are rose and lychee, but it’s blended together very nicely

Delina exclusif - very similar to Delina, but the biggest differences is it’s more powdery, and smells a bit more like cashmere. Imo it’s like Delina’s older sister, soft, feminine, mature but still very girly! The best fragrance

Oriana - this starts off as a huge burst of orange and citrus, I almost didn’t like it because of this, but it develops into a lovely sweet, marshmallow scent that smells like whipped cream…I love this, it’s very sweet though (not sickly), I think you’ll love this if you like gourmands

I'm completely obsessed with Lattafa Khamrah, thanks to tik tok. I want to eat it and bathe in it. It's potentially quite potent for bystanders but I don't care, I want to drown in it like a drunken rum and raisin caramel apple pie.

Absolutely love Burberry Her. I've got the elixir one. I'm one of those who douses myself in perfume before bed and I can always smell that particular perfume on my sheets a couple of days later

I recently purchased a couple of Sol de Janerio sprays on Boots because it was 20% off. I'd never tried the brand before and I found the pink one (I think it's number 68) is very similar to Burberry Her!

Hope this is ok to but in but I have tried all the above -

oriana - has a marshmallow / raspberry smell on me . Lasts pretty well. It’a sweet but not too sweet or sickly. Very feminine but also I’d say for a younger demographic.

Delina - absolute beast for performance . This is fruity and rosy . I would only use one spray otherwise you’d be giving yourself a headache. It’s a feminine / girly scent. I like it but for me I prefer La Rosee . This is much lighter and carries the same DNA but still a great performer and for me is much more wearable as a daytime scent.

Delina exclusif - same as above but I think heavier on the rosy side .

Valaya - starts off powdery / musk like then on me dries down as a peachy smell. I like this fragrance - it’s not as good performance wise but still decent enough. For me it’s a bit one note and although I enjoy the smell I like it when a perfume has some character and develops over the day. This to me doesn’t - I get a musk smell and then it’s peach . It is lovely though.

Delina exclusif second day in a row because it's still going since yesterday I like it a bit more now than the first time I tried it
The 2 days before was Baccarat rouge for the same reason

Does anyone have any recommendations for perfumes with similar mad staying power?

I like BR540 but kinda bored of it being everywhere and all the dupes of it

Miller Harris - Scherzo is good for performance. I would describe it as a rose / oud perfume . You don’t need much and lasts all day. The rose is similar to the delina rose ( ie not English garden but more of a Turkish rose) . On me the Oud is there but it’s in the background and not overwhelming .
