She posted about flexible working spaces? Surely you’d go to your office as it was free?
Yeah lawyers work what, 70+ hour weeks(?) they do ridiculous OT because that’s part of the job. They’re paid not to have a social life, to put in all their energy and enthusiasm into the job instead. What do you guys make of her post about not wanting to return to normal normal?
I find it sort of... funny. As I'd understand it, law is one of those fields where you go in expecting to work long hours and possibly miss out on family/friend time. It's not ideal by all means, but at the same time she sort of did sign up for it
She knew what she was signing up too! It’s not like she only started in the pandemic….Yeah lawyers work what, 70+ hour weeks(?) they do ridiculous OT because that’s part of the job. They’re paid not to have a social life, to put in all their energy and enthusiasm into the job instead.
The whole “I go back on my terms” rubbed me up the wrong way lol. Not everyone has that option, you go back to the office if your boss says, end of. If Linklaters say all employees must go back (after all, don’t they have facilities to finance too?) she may have no choice either. Depends on what makes sense financially for the company
The bit sort of made me raise an eyebrowThe whole “I go back on my terms” rubbed me up the wrong way lol. Not everyone has that option, you go back to the office if your boss says, end of.
As someone who’s at the same stage in his career as Eve, that stood out to me too. The only way it makes sense to me is if she is actively trying to avoid her coworkers. She posted about flexible working spaces? Surely you’d go to your office as it was free?
I’m sure it’s not that deep LOL. She is surely not taking client calls in co-working spaces and I don’t think it is okay to speculate that she goes there because she has problems either at work or at home. Sometimes you just need to change your location because being either at your house or at the office and nowhere else for over a year is starting to get on your nerves. I work in a similarly demanding environment as she does and even I sometimes work from coffeehouses if I don’t have any calls because both my office and my home office setup are starting to drive me nuts sometimes especially after intense projects. Also, does she never talk during calls? I would be concerned about my client’s confidentiality if I was talking in the middle of a coworking space surrounded by the same strangers all day long.
Her admitting to talking calls while “on the move” or doing other things also reflects poorly on her. At best it is disrespectful to her coworkers. But for client calls, the clients pay extra for her being on the call. When I was previously on the client side, I had embarrassing conversations with partners about not wanting to pay for people to join calls who didn’t add value. I would be so embarrassed if my current clients told my supervisor that they didn’t want me to join calls because they thought, based on an instagram post, I was dicking around on their dime.
I feel like you are just looking for things to criticise her for. The post is about working from home and how it improved her work/life balance so it is obviously targeted towards people with similar experiences and not people working at the supermarket and she has every right to make posts like that since it is something that she obviously cares about. Also it is very current topic since lot of corporates are trying to find some solutions to working after COVID and I think that it is only beneficial that people are speaking up about how they feel about home office vs working from the office. The more people express their opinions the more the companies have to work with when they are figuring out how to get back to the office. The bit sort of made me raise an eyebrow
I know the post is aimed at graduates but it very much feels like it's aimed at 'successful' graduates. I know plenty of people who graduated and went on to work full time at the local supermarket or other essential roles that wouldn't have had the choice to be working from home to begin with. It just feels slightly out of touch imo
I think she's a complete idiot for saying that. What do you guys make of her post about not wanting to return to normal normal?

genuinely like why bother?? it's not good content and it's not like she needs the money from itI think she thought she’d be putting out regular content in the new year so signed up to this deal and then has not done this. It’s not like she needs YouTube but I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t have as many of this continues
This is why I avoid Skillshare like the plague! Such over-saturation with their influencer marketing.ANOTHER Skillshare promotion? They practically own her channel at this point.
I like skillshare but am so sick of seeing every influencer promote it. It’s like they don’t care who promotes the siteThis is why I avoid Skillshare like the plague! Such over-saturation with their influencer marketing.
Because it’s the legal side, she’ll be locked into a contract! But I don’t know why she needs to make videos at all any more, yes when she was a student for money etc but now…. She was stupid accepting thisgenuinely like why bother?? it's not good content and it's not like she needs the money from it
Do we know if she still lives at her parents? They hang around there quite often.Eve looks like she is at her gf’s parent’s house and it looks MASSIVE
Yeah I think so, maybe Raina moved out??Am I right in thinking from the latest Insta story that Eve has moved into Raina's old room?
