I know this has been touched on previously but Eve's insistence on branding herself as some ceiling-shattering working class queer icon is genuinely really frustrating. I get that she's come out fairly recently, but I really fail to see how anything she does is groundbreaking. Inferring that corporate dress-codes are somehow homophobic is just so ridiculous and steers the conversation away from real issues of sexism and homophobia in the legal working world. Also, pretty sure this is common sense but there's no inherent aesthetic to being an out queer woman, forcing yourself to adhere to what TikTok views as 'dressing gay' is no more liberating than dressing any other way.Why is in her mind being openly lgbtq = being unprofessional.
