Where I worked it wouldn’t have been allowed although there was a picture posted of her here, where her belly button was showing and that would have been against the dress code of my law firm as well, so who knows maybe Linklaters has more relaxed rules for thisI don't know I'm not familiar with the culture at her workplace but seeing as so many people on this thread always talk about eve's professionalism (or potential lack thereof) I figured her firm could consider it "unprofessional"
I remember when she posted that and it was so cringe. Can you imagine turning up to a law firm, dealing with clients etc. showing off your belly button like that. I wonder if she was spoken to about it as she has never seemed to share anything like that again?Where I worked it wouldn’t have been allowed although there was a picture posted of her here, where her belly button was showing and that would have been against the dress code of my law firm as well, so who knows maybe Linklaters has more relaxed rules for this
I was looking to see if I could find some stuff about their dress codes, they definitely have made moves to make it a bit less genderedWhere I worked it wouldn’t have been allowed although there was a picture posted of her here, where her belly button was showing and that would have been against the dress code of my law firm as well, so who knows maybe Linklaters has more relaxed rules for this
I hope not, she seemed very happy with her gfHas anyone else noticed that there has been an obvious lack of Eve's girlfriend Lucie on any of her instagram stories recently? I wonder if they have split up?
She mentioned having a girlfriend the other day, I think they might've just realised that plastering her all over Eve's profile might not be the best ideaHas anyone else noticed that there has been an obvious lack of Eve's girlfriend Lucie on any of her instagram stories recently? this pissed me off so much, I've been spending the past days being super anxious about going home for Christmas and potentially infecting my parents; meanwhile she's here annoyed that she maybe won't be able to go to Paris. I get that she wants a nice holiday and she deserves it, but honestly at this point in the pandemic she should know that traveling is very risky and the likelihood of cancelling very highView attachment 894789
hmmmmm....maybe start wearing a mask????? As you should be doing anyways on the tube???????? ffs
Maybe it's the type of law? I worked in Legal Aid and we always had to dress pretty formally.I don't know tbh - I'm a lawyer in the City and - I accept that it differs between firms - my firm is super chilled about these things. I hardly ever dress in a 'corporate way'. Depending on the client, I have a suit I can put on but even then, a lot of my clients are pretty casual and would find me dressing corporate super weird. Also, firms are SO focused on diversity now, they'll probably be proud of Eve. Obviously there are exceptions - some outfits are never appropriate for the office. But like....if I wear jeans from time to time, for example, no one would care as long as my clients like me and I'm hitting my billing targets lol
Her new hair on that article looks such a mess. Sorry not sorry - I miss the neat blonde hair she used to have.I find her new ig post quite funny. Eve had never shared much about being a lawyer and what that actually means in her day to day life. Why does she consider herself doing so? She also looks rather different in it too
Haven’t read the article but referring to “lawfluencers” in the caption doesn’t exactly spring her picture to mind. I’m thinking more of The Secret Barrister and actual academics who provide valuable insights and opinions than Eve who’s basically just an everyday influencer at worst, studytuber who can help law students at bestI find her new ig post quite funny. Eve had never shared much about being a lawyer and what that actually means in her day to day life. Why does she consider herself doing so? She also looks rather different in it too
Yeah, I think it definitely depends on the area of law/the firm. Certainly going into a court room or meeting a very traditional client when dressed casually would be a no-no. But in the City, on a day to day basis, it's got way more casual over the years. You'll struggle to find a younger guy wearing a tie for example. Apart from the midriff exposure (lol) what Eve wears wouldn't look out of place in my office. I think people have an image of law firms - especially City ones - which is a bit outdated. As I said, I think Links will be proud of Eve - she is a great ambassador for them. The job market at the top end of law is insane, mainly thanks to US firms coming to London and paying eye- watering amounts. Firms are cranking up their salaries constantly and the competition to retain talent is fierce. Having someone who promotes the firm as a cool place to work will be super useful for their recruitment efforts.Maybe it's the type of law? Isn't it now mandatory to be wearing a facemask on public transport now too?View attachment 906409
Would it kill her to wear a mask on the Tube?
They were either going to or coming from Vee's launch party, I just cannot deal with people like her anymore. Wearing a mask on public transport is the least you can do right now, especially if you have an active social life as she does. Glad to see at least Jack is doing the bare minimum.
Yep that is it! Clearly thinks she’s above the law!Isn't it now mandatory to be wearing a facemask on public transport now too?
At least a few weeks ago it was more of a choice which you were strongly encouraged to take, now it's just plain stupid
