Come on now, literally no one would do that.
It's happened to me on more than one occasion. Apparently I was a bigot for only wanting to date biological females. It's happened to my gay male friends as well, enough for me to say that it's endemic. Look up "cotton/boxer ceiling".

Maybe because you sounded like a Terf ? Just maybe.
This has nothing to do with being a lesbian.

Just checked your post history. You are obviously a huge terf and you know it. Trans women are women and some are lesbians too.

Eve’s identity is completely up to her and we have zero saying in this.

Anyone else think Eve's gf is hot af? Eve's latest Insta story
I’m gonna say no but that’s because she inevitably a Tory and is from a high social class background aka a posh girl with little to no problems getting a job or doing what she wants 🤣 but I’m very odd when it comes to find people good looking

lol i felt that - good looking but very privileged.
her story a few days ago on eve going into work to ‘sell her soul’ rubbed me the wrong way. like i get the whole ~duck capitalism, we shouldn’t work our lives away~ vibe but some of us cant really afford your woke lifestyle when we can’t depend on our parents to support us 🤡

And also aren’t apart of the problem, this is the woman who now earns 100K, not saying she doesn’t deserve it but eve herself is not exactly working class, look at her parents house for example

For a hundred bleeping grand a year, love, you should be concentrating on your job and not worrying about how you can "express yourself as queer".

Jesus. Does she really think she's the first lesbian high-powered lawyer to have existed?
Why shouldn’t Eve express herself a queer though? If it really isn’t a big deal then why shouldn’t she portray that in what she wheres. For myself I know clothes are a huge part of my identity and coming out not only to other but figuring out what I like and yes I do feel like that’s linked to my sexuality as a lesbian/ queer woman. I relate to Eve a lot I’ve had a huge change in how I dress in the last few months. And like Eve I have to wear a “uniform” / am expected to dress a certain way in my job and that makes me feel so uncomfortable sometimes. So anything I can do to put my own style into it I try to.
Presenting as queer is important to some and I don’t think anyone should critique anyone for wanting to do that. Being queer and visible is so important, I’m in my early 20’s and I don’t feel like I had many people at all to look up to or to listen talk about being gay so if someone like Eve does as a public figure then it’s going to help someone else.

Sorry not aimed directly at you but think it needs to be said after catching up on their forum after what’s been said lately.

Not trying to criticise you and it may sound harsh but you were aware what your work place's expectations are after all. I also don't feel comfortable being dressed up in general - I'd rather be working in a sweatshirt and leggings - but I am expected to look neutral and professional. Depends what kind of job you do but at jobs in which you represent your company - f.ex. do client meetings etc. - you represent not yourself but your company. No one is gonna care about your sexuality there and no one should be expected to. The fact that I love idk Metallica or that I'm a Buddhist doesn't mean I should include it everywhere to make sure other people see it.

Generally the thing is some people try to make everything about themselves - and with Eve it bleeping shows.

Dressing "queer" doesn't have to be a huge bold statement though. I'm also going down the law route and I know that I'll have to wear "business" clothes, but the way I hold and present myself has a lot to do with how confident I am.

I think Eve goes a bit over the top sometimes, and she can be a very extreme person (no hate, it's just who she is), but not everyone who wants to incorporate their sexuality wants to do it in an extreme way. A subtle pin, or an undercut, or shoes can be the way someone does it. Even just a woman wearing a suit can be a way of comfort for some people. It's not like wearing a costume everyday, it's just about adhering to the "uniform" of the job whilst still being comfortable

Sure it doesn't have to be a bold statement. With Eve, it seems she's changed not only the way she dresses but also her general attitude - the way she speaks, gestures, even her content which is disappointing cause imo it changed to worse. Her pretentiousness is insufferable nowadays.

Still, I guess I just don't understand how clothes would link to your sexuality itself since I believe we should be more neutral with our opinions on other people's clothes and don't apply labels to them. Like what kind of clothes qualify as queer - it would have to mean that more "quirky" clothing choices suggest you're of a XYZ sexuality whereas some people would want to wear some clothes just cause they like the style without labelled as queer and be labelled with some stereotypes. Like sure, wearing a t-shirt with a phrase pointing out to you being queer would work but, like with Eve, wearing more bold colours shouldn't in any way suggest that f.ex. you're a lesbian cause why would it. Personally I don't dress up in any distinct way nor I am in any way against it I just feel it goes in the wrong direction of highlighting the stereotypical approach to queer people.

I mean, there are a ton of small signifiers that someone could do (ie. Lesbians and the thumb ring). There is a historic link to wearing specific clothes and presenting as queer (colours, scarves etc) so there is a link there.

The fact that you compare this to you wanting to wear a sweatshirt and leggings to work just says it all.

Eh, I sort of get it though. Most people don't enjoy their professional dress or find it hard to express themselves with professional outfits. Some people just straight up don't have a way to express themselves in general when it comes to professional dress, so finding small but professional ways to express that without straying into a territory that is deemed unprofessional by many (as in Eve's case some of the time) is really nice

The other thing with Eve is that I really don't see how being 'queer' means that it's 'special' to dress in a more masculine/feminine way. That's just how identity works in general for most people (we're not really bound to dressing and feeling feminine/masculine 24/7), and as I've mentioned she's always been creative with her outfits (didn't just stick to the black and white combo, suit or dress that you'd traditionally associate with business dress)

It seems that Eve is very lost on her identity as a person right now so she's throwing around 'queer' as a way to find a label of sorts, or she's overstating how much her sexuality really matters in the grand scheme of things - in a work place, it really shouldn't. Though there's been a push with LGBTQ so I wonder if that also party affects her mentality?

I'd love to see a video of what she actually does at work for her next Skillshare sponsorship next month.

ok um I find it weird how eve's GF must have blocked me on instagram. because her account still exists but I can't find it on my ig. maybe I watched her story a couple of times when it was mentioned on here but what did I do? perhaps I accidentally liked one of her posts without realising and she found it weird?
