i don’t mind the ads when the videos creators put forward are still interesting/good quality, honestly used to be glad when people like eve got them bc a lot of work goes into filming/editing and it can’t be easy to juggle with a full time job, so at least they’re making something from it. it’s just annoying when a video is being made just so she can post the ad - it shows in the video idea/editing bc it’s so much poorer than her other uploads :/

Agree with you, I also just think Skillshare has been done to death, it feels like anyone could get a collab with them. It would be nice to see more variation in brand sponsorships across YouTube as a whole, but that’s a separate issue
Completely agree, I get so annoyed whenever I hear "this video is sponsored by Skillshare", but I am soooo curious to know how much they're paying

This may be an unpopular opinion, but Eve's story about Emma Chamberlain at the Met Gala has annoyed me. The Met Gala has obviously historically been very elitist, but it literally isn't anymore (that's a different argument lol). Addison bleeping Rae was invited this year and whether you like her or not, you have to recognise that the event is pretty much a shitshow now. Telling Emma to "take em down" because she went to the event is just like ???? nonsensical. Take who down? The event is already bottom of the barrel babe
Skillshare hasn't done itself any favours with this influencer saturation. They work with absolutely anyone. Hell, I bet they'd even work with my channel, which contains a single video of my cats fighting, and has 50 views!

I'm so tired of people using AD(H)D as a synonym for "having trouble staying focused at times". Eve, you're in a 1-year relationship, you have plenty of longtime friends, you graduated with excellent grades, received excellent feedback and training contract offers from all of your former employers, and secured a training contract at one of the most renowned law firms in a super fast-paced environment. I highly doubt that at least some of those things would have been possible with an undiagnosed (!) AD(H)D. People like Eve who missuse the name of such a serious mental illness are responsible for the fact that way too many people still don't take AD(H)D seriously, and think it's an excuse for lazy people that aren't trying hard enough.
Sorry for my English. I'm not a native speaker. I just had to talk to anyone since that retweet made me cry my eyes out ever since I've seen it.

I personally struggled with this so much, barely being able to graduate uni, even though I was top student in high school and got admitted to top uni, suddenly it hit me like a bus. I seriously believed I just got lazy or dumb out of sudden and didn’t seek help for so long because of people like Eve talking dumb tit everywhere. I get so angry whenever I see bull like that and people not treating it seriously. Same with depression which is used on social media nearly all the time whenever you feel a bit down or sad.Seriously Eve is becoming more and more out of touch and dumb unfortunately. She’s so bleeping annoying recent times I stopped following her altogether. And I liked her so much when I first discovered her few years ago. Such a waste and disappointment.
I was in the exact same situation and didn't see a therapist or ask anyone for help until it was almost too late. The image of AD(H)D that is conveyed on social media was one of the main reasons for my hesitation. I figuered I could get my problems under control with fancy learning techniques. And my social problems? Well, who doesn't have "anxiety" these days, according to social media? I had no idea until I got diagnosed... It makes me sad and angry that people trivialize mental illnesses, so that ultimately those who suffer from them have to explain and justify themselves over and over again. ADHD isn't a mental illness, it's a neurodevelopmental disorder. Your English is fine! I agree with you 100% on your other points, a lot of people loosely throw around ADHD even if they don't actually have it, which is contributing to the stereotypes around it
People can be "high-functioning" and still have ADHD. They can get good grades and still have it. Jessica McCabe, an ADHDer who runs the youtube channel How to ADHD is a good example of this - she did a TEDx talk.
Yep! This is important to note, and it affects everyone differently. I have ADHD and I did fine at school and uni, but my biggest issues are hyperfixating & impulsive behaviour related to that, and then the anxiety caused by those hyperfixations because I often fixate on something and can't do anything else so I worry that I'm missing something.ADHD isn't a mental illness, it's a neurodevelopmental disorder. On her Instagram stories she’s always walking around london or in a coffee shop or in a random clothes shop at all hours of the day (like in 9-5 hours) I’m confused? Like today on her stories she’s walking round London in casual clothing I’m like does she still work?

I begin to wonder whether Eve's girlfriend is not the brightest. She's been promoting the new Drake album in every story lately. Quite a few lesbians (and other members of the LGBTQ+ community) have criticized the album for being extremely homophobic and reproducing stereotypes around women who love women. Some have also criticized Drake for sexualizing and fetishizing lesbians in a particular song that Lucie played in a recent Instagram story with Eve. I find this extremely ridiculous considering Eve even received an award for her commitment to the community.
The real question is how much Eve actually does for the community. Visiting drag contests and putting rainbows and the word "queer" all over her Instagram is hardly worthy of an award, is it?
