the actor is incredible, which gets me very invested in all of his scenes. i really want to know who the third kid is too!

parts of this show do exasperate me though, there’s sections where it almost turns into a music video. i read that sam levison doesn’t have a writer’s room, which i think he would hugely benefit from (in terms of being reigned in a bit).

Cal is really growing on me. I’m glad they have allowed the character to break and for his secrets to come out and that they didn’t just keep him as the token evil guy that he was initially. His drunken monologue was so sad and painfully honest which is the first time he’s ever been honest with his family but also himself. Very interested to see how this develops and yes, where is their 3rd child???

nate & Cassie - oh come on, there’s no way they would have been able to keep this under wraps! I thought Lexi had cottoned on but that was kind of ambiguous. Cassie’s drunken breakdown was both sad to watch but played in a slightly comedic wayC when she gets into the hot tub and when she’s just drunkenly sat there awkwardly perched on the side!!! Actually liked Nate in this episode- he seemed slightly more genuine and I liked that he was honest and said that he wasn’t back with Maddy.

im finding it hard to believe that Jules was oblivious to the fact that Rue has been off her face the entire time. I mean come on!!! Rue looks like she’s three sheets to the wind and is all over the place!!!!
Really annoyed that Jules & Elliot just start getting with eachother - Jules is meant to be head over heels in love with Rue, so what is she doing? And Elliot KNOWS why Rue is behaving the way she is but gets with Jules anyway. I thought that was so shady.

would have preferred some more scenes with Rue and her mum/sister/Fez - more explanation of what she’s going to do with the suitcase of drugs/more Fez & Lexi etc rather than wasting time with the over the top long winded dream sequences. Rue “seeing” her Dad and the whole church/gospel singer thing went on too long for me as did Cassie dancing in the balloons and Cal dancing in the gay bar. It felt like filler.

I'm not into Jules behaviour. I think she's hurt from finding out Rue relapsed, and jump for consolation into Elliot's arms after he complimented her so much in the previous episode.

I think Jules not really noticing that Rue is off her block all the time is fairly realistic. No one else, apart from Gia has ether. Rue does seem a bit dopey, even when sober.
None of them have noticed that Nate and Cassie are shagging, Cassie losing her mind has only really been noticed by her mother, and Maddy, but not enough for her to voice any concern.
Kat hates her boyfriend and even he has not noticed.
Lexi is not noticing as she is getting her revenge with her play, and having a little thing with Fezco. The entire cast has not noticed any of the posters about her play plastered all over the school.
They are all a bit self involved. It’s very enjoyable.

lmao!! this is so true when you put it like this they're all oblivious but to be honest I think it's a reflection of our society today everyone is so glued to their phone we really don't notice tit about the people closest to us
