This thread has been quiet, anyone watching what are your thoughts about it?

Yeah and where are all the school teachers and faculty staff?! You’ve got random pupils and audience members jumping on stage, fighting and throwing the C-Bomb around and there’s no staff members coming in to shut it down!

I just rewatched the episode and could not believe no teachers were handing out the punishments, or there even. It’s so strange the entire school has been forced to watch this play, yet the only adults seem to be Lexi’s mum and the man sitting next to her.

The amount of nudity of the show makes me uncomfortable, given they're meant to be playing teenagers. I don't remember Skins being as explicit. I kind of wonder if Sydney Sweeney will regret it in the future - I have a feeling she might get typecast or be expected to do nudity in other projects.

The bit that is living rent free in my mind at the moment is the bit when Cassie’s mum tells her to lay off Rue because Rue is a ‘good girl’. So is Cassie, but her own mother doesn’t think so. That’s really sad.
Also re the swat team, maybe they are after Laurie, she seems like a bigger fish with much scarier connections for things like people trafficking that Fexco and Ashtray don’t have.

I was thinking of this. Maybe she says this about Rue because she's been through rehab, while she has zero intention of dropping alcohol.

Slightly off topic but seeing all of the news and reviews for The Idol (The Weeknd and Sam’s new show) has me seriously concerned for Season 3. Season 2 was already bad enough but at this rate the upcoming season is just going to be hardcore porn with no substance.

My bad, I have covid brain. That wasn't what I meant at all, I just went off what I learned from Dopesick, and that I was that abuse of prescribed drugs (which is how Rue started - her dad's oxycodon, her medication for ocd and panic attacks) has been more prevalent in rural areas and mine cities.
