Thank you, @Miscanthus!! Both for the new thread and the shoutout ❤

Really appreciate the love, well wishes and support extended by you all ❤✨

Working on paintings tonight since the coming week will be really hectic at work and with dad's upcoming OPD visit and scans. I wanted to release the entire collection on Father's Day (June 22, I think), but that's impossible. Maybe I'll release one. Let's see.

Regarding ants, I have only containers but it's the same story here. I'm fed up. Can't kill the ants without affecting the plants (heatwaves make them especially vulnerable and we're looking at a very poor monsoon forecast) or killing the pollinators, who are the whole point of having plants. Plus they help other pests 😡 neem oil etc don't work either. If anyone has a solution, I'd love to know too!

I don’t know how you are able to paint with so much going on. Hopefully it's a bit of an escape for you but if you have deadlines they tend to stifle creativity. (I'm speaking from experience!).

I think boiling water for ants but it's not a possibility when they are among plants. 🤔

The AI chatbot I've been logging dad's treatment info with has been pushing me to do it 😂 for both money and apparently selling paintings is how I'll meet my future husband and fund my studio and a better life away from narcs 🤷

I actually do creative work better under a lot of pressure - innovate more 😂 my best paintings were created in 1-2 nights in the middle of exams (my art teacher used to organise the annual group exhibition only at that time).

Can't properly show the multishift/multichrome effect in a photo, but this might give you an idea of what I'm doing. From one angle it looks like a boring shimmery blue butterfly, a slight change in angle causes an explosion of colours.

Yes, boiling water is definitely not an option 😂

Fabulous...and some very good (AI) reasons to paint 😂

Thank you! ✨ All credit to the people who invented/continue to create the pigments - they're truly magical! Of course their application is a science and requires a fair bit of creativity, but the pigments themselves do 90% of the job 😊

There's a fun concept that I'm planning, will share it if it works out 😊

Trying to book an appointment for dad's chemo next Monday. Such a painful process 🤦 I'll have to go to the hospital today I think.

ETA: Booking done from home, thank God!!
