I don't think the writers think that far ahead, they just make up whatever they can in the moment.

To the best of my knowledge the blood group chokehold that Todd had Charity, was a fabrication.
She overheard the conversation between Chas and Ross, joined the dots, got Charity off guard when she was vulnerable.
Then the reaction from Charity confirmed her suspicions, giving her perfect ammunition.

TBH I think the whole storyline of Sarah being unable to have her own children but still wanting to a mother has been all wrong.
It could have been an opportunity to properly highlight fostering/adoption from the parental perspective in early years.
I mean Charity had an ectopic pregnancy with Mack in 2022, so it’s really bizarre you would offer in the first place or how any relationship would survive it.
Especially as Mack was keen to have more kids - probably because that head case Chloe has scarpered with his last. The baby he didn’t want before it was born but then is heartbroken (understandable as his a real man child

Eventho Cain sleeping with barely legal Amy sure is pushing it.
Moria did also sleep with Cain's son Nathan but didn't know it was his son and they sorted that indiscretion out.
Cain slept with mother & daughter. Years ago he had an affair with a married policewoman called Angie. When she ended it, Cain didn’t take it too well and as an act of revenge he slept with her daughter, Ollie, a couple of weeks before her 16th birthday
It could indeed be heading that way. I just want to speed up the storyline and see someone track down Todd and give her what for.
