Emma Watson

Thanks for starting a thread about this horrible fake feminist. I can't bleeping stand the stuck up phoney arsed witch who threw JK Rowling under the bus.

JK has donated millions to charities and good causes whilst standing up for women's rights. Meanwhile Emma pretends to be a feminist and basically champions the rights of men.

duck off Emma and stay ducked off😤

I really like her though. I think she is smart, inspiring and a good actress. I think not wanting to wear a corset is actually very understandable.
If she doesn’t want to wear a corset (understandably), she needs to not sign on any projects set in corset-wearing times. It’s as simple as that. You’d think she’d be able to understand it, being so smart and all.

Little miss Watson is an average looking broad (seen way better looking women at my local Sainsbury's) who got incredibly lucky with the HP franchise. Now she's too busy betraying the person who made her into a household name (God bless JKR!) and preaching to the plebs about how to be more woke and environmentally conscious while she benefits from the £££ of her extremely un-woke almost father-in-law who doesn't give a f about the environment or the average worker. 🤡

I would just like to say that I think Emma Watson is quite beautiful and natural. She has such subtle features that I understand why people find her average looking, but in my eyes her beauty is special.

Her acting on the other hand… She’s really good at making you feel the cameras around her and ruin the scene for you.

Goodness isn't beauty subjective.
I honestly find her one of the plainest, most norm looking celebs going.

Without stylists, hair dressers, makeup artists, personal chefs, PTs, millions of pounds etc I imagine I would really struggle telling her apart from all the other averagely attractive girls you see on your local high street.

One man's subtle is another's boring I guess

Agree with all the above. Question is… if she wasn’t Hermione would she be famous now? Probably not. You’d think Daniel and Rupert would have got recognition through other roles… her? Nope.
I think none of the three would be really famous without Harry Potter. Emma and Daniel are very wooden actors (though I'm not very familar with his stage work). Rupert was the most talented of the three in my opinion, if anything.

Please can you ask your dad to sell his yacht so people who worked in Arcadia and BHS can get their pensions back

daniel is terrible in hp but i’ve seen him on stage a few times (including in a musical) and he was excellent every time. he comes across as a genuinely nice person too, though i agree he probably never would have had the career he’s had without hp.

rupert is the most talented and ironically seems to be the one who has shunned the limelight since. watching them as kids i was convinced that he was the one who would make it as an adult actor.

Her last job was three years ago and she doesn't have any work lined up aside from the HP special. If I had to guess, the majority of Ms. Watson's acting career is behind her. Her looks aren't the issue, plenty of successful actresses are "plain" -- it means they can play a wider variety of roles depending on how they're styled. Amy Adams, Elisabeth Moss, and Jennifer Lawrence are not great beauties but they get work anyway because they're good at what they do and people like watching them. Emma is neither a good actress nor, I suspect, easy to work with -- she refused to do publicity for Little Women after Coppola cut a lot of her scenes.

she was a last minute replacement for emma stone and there was apparently a scene between her and laura dern that was so bad that it was instantly cut. it was her highest profile role for a long while too so the fact that she didn’t promote it really stood out.

should clarify the director was greta gerwig, not sofia coppola though!

Lol. I'm not surprised her scenes were cut. She sucked the life out of the film whenever she was on screen. It was always going to be a mistake putting her in a film with Saorsie Ronan and Florence Pugh. People who can act and have a bit of personality about them.

Daniel certainly gets the "most improved" award of the three, he's working like a fiend too and seems to pick roles that are out of his comfort zone, whether onstage or onscreen.

Rupert had a kid a couple years ago but is slowly starting to take new roles, he's got a few projects coming out next year.

no that’s okay - i just googled it and confused myself 🤣

i give daniel a lot of respect for consistently picking challenging roles and doing a lot of odd little indie films tbh. he could have dined out on being harry potter for the rest of his life but has actually taken a few risks in his career. credit to him for that!

i didn’t know rupert had a baby and have just seen it’s with the girl who played georgia in angus, thongs and perfect snogging 😲

Yes qudos to Daniel for working on his skills as an actor and challenging himself.

Or at least one or two of them! He gets validation from idiots like Watson, Lewis Hamilton, Kate Moss etc frolicking round on holiday with his fugly kids.

She seems, to me, to come from the Amanda Burton school of acting. The general demeanour is to have a smug, serious, 'worthy', slightly superior/ above it all expression and to be cast in roles that are slight extensions of themselves. When they have risked something a bit more challenging, the lack of range sticks out like a sore thumb. However, for some reason I quite like Amanda Burton and some of the work she has done. As I said before, I can't take to Emma Watson and perhaps it's because of her hypocrisy/ preachiness, as others have said.

The Little Women film was on TV yesterday.
It was worse than I remembered it being. My partner couldn't figure out what was going on with all the time jumps from past to present. I could follow it because I know the story but my partner hated it. It was horribly syrupy too, definitely not the best version of the story and Emma was definitely the weakest out of the 4 sisters.
