Thanks for starting a thread about this horrible fake feminist. I can't fucking stand the stuck up phoney arsed bitch who threw JK Rowling under the bus.

JK has donated millions to charities and good causes whilst standing up for women's rights. Meanwhile Emma pretends to be a feminist and basically champions the rights of men.

Fuck off Emma and stay fucked off😤

I don’t think you could consider the line at the BAFTA’s the most public bashing we’ve ever seen but yeah it was a dig.

Just like JK, EW is entitled to her opinion and neither should be criticised for it imo (especially when Dan and Rupert also spoke out against her) but I do get the feeling the media have just jumped at the opportunity to turn this into another ridiculous catty female feud that probably doesn’t exist.
I think it’s mainly because Watson has given other women very high handed lectures about how they should think, feel and behave towards transwomen and been very dismissive of JK’s concerns from a position of immense privilege that means she doesn’t really understand them. And also described herself as a feminist in the same breath.

Watson tells other women they must ‘be kind’ and accept transwomen (or those who claim to be) in refuges, rape crisis centres, prisons, NHS hospital wards when it’s almost impossible that she or any of her loved ones would ever experience one and it’s not likely many women she’s ever known will either.

Rowling has and has insight into those experiences but Watson dismisses it.

The male stars may also speak out against Rowling but they’re not being as patronising towards women in general and in particular towards less privileged women whose rights they’re airily giving away when it has zero impact on them. The men aren’t unusual when they do because all men who do won’t be impacted by changes, Emma is unusual in being a woman who both speaks out about it and also has almost zero chance of being affected by any of the changes she wants. I think that’s why focus is on her.

I've never warmed to her and she certainly can't act. She always seems so smug and 'worthy' but her turning on J.K. Rowling has left me actively disliking her. I don't know so much about her declaring she was 'self-partnered' at one point but she's always seemed self-involved. And did I say smug? Bloody smug. Very smug! Smug, smug, smug.....

Dreadful actress, horrible person. Now showing the true level of her hypocrisy. Absolutely can’t stand her - in case you hadn’t guessed. 😂

Little miss Watson is an average looking broad (seen way better looking women at my local Sainsbury's) who got incredibly lucky with the HP franchise. Now she's too busy betraying the person who made her into a household name (God bless JKR!) and preaching to the plebs about how to be more woke and environmentally conscious while she benefits from the £££ of her extremely un-woke almost father-in-law who doesn't give a f about the environment or the average worker. 🤡

Rereading this thread as it got bumped and I forgot that she used to date Philip Green’s son and was pictured with the family holidaying on the yachts. Who tf does she think she is to morally lecture anybody about anything? I’m glad JK publicly called her fakeness out. I’ll post it here in all its brilliance:

I'm seeing quite a bit of comment about this, so I want to make a couple of points.

I'm not owed eternal agreement from any actor who once played a character I created. The idea is as ludicrous as me checking with the boss I had when I was twenty-one for what opinions I should hold these days.

Emma Watson and her co-stars have every right to embrace gender identity ideology. Such beliefs are legally protected, and I wouldn't want to see any of them threatened with loss of work, or violence, or death, because of them.

However, Emma and Dan in particular have both made it clear over the last few years that they think our former professional association gives them a particular right - nay, obligation - to critique me and my views in public. Years after they finished acting in Potter, they continue to assume the role of de facto spokespeople for the world I created.

When you've known people since they were ten years old it's hard to shake a certain protectiveness. Until quite recently, I hadn't managed to throw off the memory of children who needed to be gently coaxed through their dialogue in a big scary film studio. For the past few years, I've repeatedly declined invitations from journalists to comment on Emma specifically, most notably on the Witch Trials of JK Rowling. Ironically, I told the producers that I didn't want her to be hounded as the result of anything I said.

The television presenter in the attached clip highlights Emma's 'all witches' speech, and in truth, that was a turning point for me, but it had a postscript that hurt far more than the speech itself. Emma asked someone to pass on a handwritten note from her to me, which contained the single sentence 'I'm so sorry for what you're going through' (she has my phone number). This was back when the death, rape and torture threats against me were at their peak, at a time when my personal security measures had had to be tightened considerably and I was constantly worried for my family's safety. Emma had just publicly poured more petrol on the flames, yet thought a one line expression of concern from her would reassure me of her fundamental sympathy and kindness.

Like other people who've never experienced adult life uncushioned by wealth and fame, Emma has so little experience of real life she's ignorant of how ignorant she is. She'll never need a homeless shelter. She's never going to be placed on a mixed sëx public hospital ward. I'd be astounded if she's been in a high street changing room since childhood. Her 'public bathroom' is single occupancy and comes with a security man standing guard outside the door. Has she had to strip off in a newly mixed-sëx changing room at a council-run swimming pool? Is she ever likely to need a state-run rape crisis centre that refuses to guarantee an all-female service? To find herself sharing a prison cell with a male rapist who's identified into the women's prison?

I wasn't a multimillionaire at fourteen. I lived in poverty while writing the book that made Emma famous. I therefore understand from my own life experience what the trashing of women's rights in which Emma has so enthusiastically participated means to women and girls without her privileges.

The greatest irony here is that, had Emma not decided in her most recent interview to declare that she loves and treasures me - a change of tack I suspect she's adopted because she's noticed full-throated condemnation of me is no longer quite as fashionable as it was - I might never have been this honest.

Adults can't expect to cosy up to an activist movement that regularly calls for a friend's assassination, then assert their right to the former friend's love, as though the friend was in fact their mother. Emma is rightly free to disagree with me and indeed to discuss her feelings about me in public - but I have the same right, and I've finally decided to exercise it.

I really like her though. I think she is smart, inspiring and a good actress. I think not wanting to wear a corset is actually very understandable.
If she doesn’t want to wear a corset (understandably), she needs to not sign on any projects set in corset-wearing times. It’s as simple as that. You’d think she’d be able to understand it, being so smart and all.

Agree with all the above. Question is… if she wasn’t Hermione would she be famous now? Probably not. You’d think Daniel and Rupert would have got recognition through other roles… her? Nope.
I think none of the three would be really famous without Harry Potter. Emma and Daniel are very wooden actors (though I'm not very familar with his stage work). Rupert was the most talented of the three in my opinion, if anything.

She's always wanted to be seen as a good person. Always got something to say on different topics so she's seen as nice. Recently though she's shown her true colours turning on the woman who made her career and now getting involved in this family. Imagine the possibility of her having a father in law who screwed over thousands of his workers.
Us plebs just don't understand the high level specialness of Emma Watson.

I would just like to say that I think Emma Watson is quite beautiful and natural. She has such subtle features that I understand why people find her average looking, but in my eyes her beauty is special.

Her acting on the other hand… She’s really good at making you feel the cameras around her and ruin the scene for you.
Please can you ask your dad to sell his yacht so people who worked in Arcadia and BHS can get their pensions back

She’s a pretty terrible actress, I avoid any film she’s in for that reason so don’t know if she’s improved. Not that she’s been in anything lately that I can think of?

Her post Harry Potter PR push a few years ago was nauseating, she was EVERYWHERE doing all sorts of mindless twee shite, like hiding books at a train station or something? Naturally, as part of her PR push she got some kind of UN ambassador/spokesperson gig. I later learned He for She was originally conceived by and run by a highly educated, young, black woman from an African country. But of course Emma Watson was the prominent face of it, all to help her move on from being Hermione. That little tidbit was particularly off putting.

Now I don’t hear much about her work with the UN (if she’s still doing it) or acting…what IS she up to?

oooh, really? Never heard of that, but I bet that she was royally p*ssed off :ROFLMAO: Not surprised either.
Lol. I'm not surprised her scenes were cut. She sucked the life out of the film whenever she was on screen. It was always going to be a mistake putting her in a film with Saorsie Ronan and Florence Pugh. People who can act and have a bit of personality about them.

Rewatched Beauty and the Beast. God she’s actually dreadful. All she has going for her is that she looks like Belle. But she can’t sing or act, it’s crazy she got the part. Majorly side eying her for having anything to do with the greens
