Emma thinks she has good style, but that's not the case. She has "a" style, which is better than none, and it's classic and minimal and fine, but it's not very creative or expressive (even her house is this way). Maybe that's all she's going for: to be safe, inconspicuous, and not take risks. But that's boring, and I don't need someone to tell me how to be boring, much less provide twice-yearly closet switchover videos, seasonal "Top 10 _____s", tips for how to purchase the same boring items, and how to style them 5 boring ways.
If I saw Emma walking down the street, I wouldn't look at her and think "She's got great style!" I would maybe think she was rich because of her Céline handbag or Gucci loafers, but that's it. I wouldn't necessarily want to get to know her. By contrast, I walked by a woman on my lunch break once (oh, to wander the streets downtown leisurely looking for places to eat again!) who had on an outfit that not only looked great, but she looked so natural and confident in it that I wanted to ask her where she got the skirt, what she did, what she was into, etc. That is true style. I can laugh at someone like The Anna Edit for trying so hard despite not having a clue, but I feel sad for Emma. More and more, the vibe I get from her outfits is "Keep walking, don't look at me. I'd rather be at home with my dogs, rearranging my handbags."
