She's never taken accountability for any of her actions. There's always an excuse (a piss poor one at that.)
When she was constantly getting into Twitter fights, it was because she was playing a character. When she was getting shit on for being really creepy and nasty to Dan and Phil, it was them being dismissive and that their fans are rabid and hate women. When she was (politely) asked to use more trans-inclusive language in her Boxes of Foxes videos, she would lash out and complain that people were unfairly expecting her to know everything as if doing some basic research was a hardship. When people pointed out her hypocrisy with being vegan and cruelty free, it was Luke's fault the entire time for forcing her into that lifestyle when she never really wanted to. When her numbers were dropping because of her everchanging personalities and content, it was Youtube's fault for creating an environment where she had to change. When she and Evan Edinger had a falling out, it was all his fault and she accused him of being a clinical sociopath in a video (and then backpeddled when he made a video response calling out her bs). When people point out her hostile nature to any criticism, it's because of past friendship trauma. When people ask her why the hell she's with a cultural appropriator when she claims to care about the black community, it's not her problem since she's not the one doing it (you are the company you keep, Emma.)
When literally anything else is brought up, it's never a case of, "you know what, I HAVE done this and I am sorry for MY actions that are solely MY responsibility" it is always her BPD or the fact that she hasn't been her authentic self or that people have been the antagonisers or whatever nonesense she comes up with at the time. She has a million and one shields of excuses to constantly deflect and that is why she will most likely never change. Because in her mind, nothing is her fault - and on the oh so rare occasions it is, it's always due to external factors that have impacted her and she's going ~reflect~ before doing the same thing all over again. It'll never end.
