Yes, of all the cities in Colombia Medellin is one that doesn’t have a lot of things going on. The city itself has a very dark past. Locals associate the city with dr0s and pr0stitution. Yes is a metro city, has a metro etc but not a lot of touristic places it had bars etc. famous places like guatape and the eje cafetero are a bit far. Also, we are a country trying to move on from our dark past Pablo created the city so most of us do not claim the city/region we joke a lot saying that they should get their own independence lol. They are the texas of Colombia. Colombia is a country that has beautiful areas, we have access to the pacific and Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, andes mountain, the Amazon and much more and you’re telling me that if your boyfriend/husband says they want to go to Medellin or all the cities in Colombia wouldn’t you find that suspicious. Is not very different from other metro cities, weather is either raining or sunny so there’s that. If he went specifically to Medellin and only there then be super skeptical.
I get that, but the Dad literally imprisoned some of his other daughters for basic things, like wanting to have a job and freedom. But Mahra was openly dating and travelling with French Montana very publically. I would have though her father would have not approved, even if she has a Greek mother.
