I didn't realise who her dad was, did wonder how she had managed to amass a following with her content. Its a real arrogance to dissmiss anyone and criticise anyone who doesnt agree with an opinion you have, lots of influencers think the same its wild. This dismissiveness of womens real experiences because shes read some bits online is also ignorant af.

The Lily Philips clips are kind of wild too because Alex is obviously SO uncomfortable and unable to say what she really feels about it. Em is so sure of her own views she leaves no room for any nuance.

I can’t follow anymore. It’s painful. Take a breath love and have a bleeping day off would you?

I’m getting to that stage, she’s a one woman rant machine. Ot doesn’t sound genuine coming from Em in her very privileged position. She wants to bring children up while working a draining 9-5 job juggling managing a home, she’d bloody struggle that’s for sure.

Just saw her latest rant on instagram, apparently Angela Rayner has been treated unfairly because of misogyny and no man would ever be treated so badly etc. Theres plenty of misogyny in politics, I don't think I saw a single example of it in how Rayner was treated in this matter nor did Em give any actual examples of how a male politican recently got away with anything similar. I mean this wasn't media hounding this was an independent advisor finding misconduct.

I looked at the comments and you can totally see that she blocks anyone who doesn't agree, every comment is just up her a about how great she is. I find her so unlikable shes so arrogant and unwilling to hear anything that might contradict her, have her explain or might make her see another perspective.

I do agree in as much that we know full well other politicians do shady tit, but surely the stance should be- i hope they are uncovered and their actions highlighted too rather than thinking she should get a free pass. AR and Labour have used the fact she is a working class woman to show how progressive they (think they) are so I personally can't get too upset about this being thrown back in her face. Im disappointed as there arent that many truly working class people in parliament, and one of the few we have shows she's just like the rest despite the protestations that only stereotypical middle class and rich MPs are corrupt and having more working class representation would bring about positive changes. Im confused by her saying shes worried about saying it and knows she will get hate when its one of the least controversial middle of the road boring posts whereby as she is far from working class she probably doesnt really get why some are so annoyed.

She recommended looking at what the Good Law Project say about something, the other day. That's as good an example as you can get of how blinkered she is. Spend 5 mins outside your bubble, Em, to see what everyone else is saying about Jolyon the grifter.

Em and Alex are awful podcast hosts. I decided to listen to the latest one as it is about the effect of phones/screens on us, and I had to stop. There was no structure to it at all and it was just Em and Alex asking questions for their own personal gain. This week’s ’just us’ episode was equally bad and the bit I listened to was basically Em rambling at high speed about politics and Alex just nodding dumbly along, clearly clueless. How did these two get a podcast?! Didn’t Alex used to be a presenter/journalist? She comes across so thick.

I’ve sadly stopped listening to the pod too, I was a fan but I found literally every episode is focused on weight/body image and that got very boring. This is even after the body image series, that I didn’t listen to for the same reason

Absolutely this! In the early days I used to enjoy the podcast. I always found their bits a bit cringe, but I thought they had a good range of guests and they interviewed them well. But for the past year or so it's just been constant repetitions of either the all men are guys agenda or going on and in about bodies. Haven't listened for ages now.

So I went and checked how much the classes she does cost and it’s £37,5 / class. It goes down if you book in bulk but still. 5 classes are still £175. I know prices skyrocketed and all but she spends more on working out/running/gym classes/physio than most people’s whole disposable income / month. She absolutely does not acknowledge the privilege she has. Or how unrealistic it is for most women with 2 small children to do multiple workouts in a gym / week. And she isn’t using her platform to change anything or actively try to help women, despite claiming to be a feminist… she just has massive rants and meltdowns but 0 followup or action.

Worlds smallest violin playing for Emily Clarkson who is anxious because she’s going to try and do a long run today (as part of a paid ad with that running coach program). Seriously, get a real job with real anxieties 🤦‍♀️

If she had a real job or had to juggle what normal people (ie not privileged to her degree and hold down standard jobs while raising children just to make ends meet) there is no way she would be able to cope - her generation seem to be so unable to deal with usual day to day stresses

I don’t think it’s a generational thing, she’s just a nepo baby

I’m from the same generation and I can tell you it’s nothing to do with that

Yeah that’s a very unfair comparison to make. She’s like that because she’s grown up wealthy and not had to work for much at all in her life. That sortve thing breeds entitlement. I’ve worked since I was 16 and I’m 30 now with two kids, very unlike her in every way

She seems to want to spend every single second of her day exercising in some form - running, now cycling, hula hoop, headstands. I think she’s got issues, not necessarily body issues, but is clearly trying to mask some sort of unhappiness. That said, the level of body checking lately is 🥴
