I have this skin condition - it's called hidradenitis suppurativa. I have tried to give her advice on what to use on these boils and she wasn't really interested because obviously gifts are more important to her.
She needs to be really careful because if the boils/abcesses get infected she could get sepsis. Bad hygiene doesn't cause this condition but it certainly doesn't help not keeping yourself clean! It just falls on deaf ears it seems.
