I started following her after I lost my husband. She is further along in her grief than me. So I think a lot of her actions are just her immature personality and nothing to do with grief. Unless she is just avoiding being home alone w Minnie. I just focus on my 3 kids and they love stability like every night we have a family dinner at the dining table for example. I do over compensate in some areas - like I do spend more than I should on them. I can see that is a way I deal w my grief at times by over spending on the kids when I feel low to give me a boost.. and I need to work on this. But I think Ellidy is more about herself than Minnie. Also different I guess as Minnie didn’t know her Dad so doesn’t know what she is missing out on like my kids do.

I hope an honest friend can suggest to her she needs to do a parenting course to cover the basics like child safety, child protection, socialisation for Minnie and explain to her that material things mean nothing to kids. They just want a home life filled w love and stability

What was her dad's parenting style? She said in a podcast that she moved in with Chumpy after her dad (or was it step dad?) kicked her out.

I can’t remember which podcast episode but she basically said she and her brother would visit her dad on w/e’s and it was pretty much no rules. They could stay out until whatever and cause chaos - he didn’t ask too many questions. Apparently her mum was incredible strict so they would let loose with her dad. this is what she said anyway.

i think she had a pretty normal upbringing for someone her age and the area she grew up in (nth beaches). My partner grew up with her and it’s a bit of a small town vibe so the kids were a bit crazy lol.

I know a little about the Mc Nevens. Her dad was an old school Goldie surfer. She has 4 siblings. Liam, Dana, Bridey and Jamie. Her parents own Tugun Fruit and flowers. Their family is pretty dysfunctional. Dana used to post all types of stuff about her having domestics with her child's father (he now has custody of their son) Or punch ups with her family. Liam isn't with the mother of his daughter either. The family are friends with the professional surf scene through going to school at PBC and Tiana used to surf/ be besties with Steph Gilmore. Everyone from Coolangatta/Tweed knows each other and their personal business.

Looks like she got the memo of appropriate holiday clothing, albeit I did hear El say on the most recent podcast that Chloe had bought a load of clothes for Minnie prior to them arriving. Maybe Chloes subtle way of feeling like us, that Ellidys clothing choices for Minnie, arnt really the ones for Ibiza.
she looks so cute in that dress with the lemons and pink sandals, ok they look a bit like crocs, but at least they don’t look 2 sizes too big and like she could fall at any moment.

I am in holiday in the Med also, I hate to see children naked by the pool or at the beach. Only seen a couple this time around, I think people are waking up and not being so naive.
A few years back I was in mainland Spain and we spotted a guy with a long lens camera, filming naked children on the local beach.. immediately reported him, sure enough that is exactly what he was doing. Some parents are clueless, there’s just no need, bathing suits are available for kids, zero need.
i think a lot of the time it is just ignorance, but there are many many paedophile rings who get paid for this type of footage. Scary!
It makes me so uncomfortable (hubby is a British Cop and these are not isolated incidents)
The craziest thing was when we were in Greece around 10 years ago, twin girls around 3 years old. The mum had them completely naked, legs wide open on the sun loungers, then dressed them in swimsuits to go into the pool?????!!!! I couldn’t get my head around the rational. As soon as they vacated the pool the swimsuits were removed. I’ll never understand that scenario. This hotel was predominantly single men on boys holidays. It seems a done thing in Europe, don’t know about Australia, but personally, I don’t think it’s ok.

To me, an outsider looking in, Ellidy seems to be slowly unravelling - she is constantly drinking, partying, seems manic. I wonder if any of her so called friends are concerned or are just along for the party ride?

This has been her life for a while now. She seems like a party girl (with a toddler along for the ride) No idea what her lifestyle was with Chumpy but I’m assuming the same??

Absolutely not WK because I cant stand her but in some states in Aus, if the car is a registered taxi/uber and there is no car seat, kids can sit in the back with a normal seatbelt.
Oh poor Chloe didn't enjoy the glucose test. Who does? We just know Chloe is going to have the most difficult birth, the most painful birth etc etc so much drama for the world's first pregnant woman

Ah I see, so it’s a requirement of the mortgage that you must maintain a relevant mortgage protection insurance policy? Which for most people is an unnecessary additional cost, but handy in the event that you do die unexpectedly.

It’s all very interesting isn’t it, maybe the cost of the insurance isn’t outrageous like some here

To me, since following them all, She has always came across as the one in the background fighting for some recognition. She was the last person I recognised in the group as a ‘somebody’
Ellidy outshines her a million % and Chloe struggles with that hence the superior aura she tries to give off and attempts to indirectly put her down frequently.

Wonder if the property is in a trust? If I were Chumpy’s parents I’d be hoping the proceeds of the sale would be utilised to fund Mini’s education or put aside for her future. Wonder who’s name it was purchased in

Maybe just in both of their private names, I wonder if there was a will, perhaps it all just falls to Ellidy to do as she pleases.

What is she going to do when Minnie grows up a bit and isn’t just a cute little accessory anymore? Once kids get older and develop their own identity, parents have to start taking them into account so much more, you can’t just drag them around wherever you want to go. I guess she raced into having the baby so she could cash in while people remembered Chumpy but she really hasn’t out much thought into how it’s going to work in the long term and my guess is she has put zero thought into what life will be like for her daughter
