I used to really enjoy watching Ellen but I’ve not watched her for ages. It’s all a bit meh now she doesn’t work and her videos are very ‘samey’. I think I went off her when she and her mate were in the living room one time and they were just screaming for no reason 😖

This last video was a hard watch, and I’m guessing majority of her viewers feel the same way judging by the shocking low views.

She’s put together and is selling a bridal checklist of some sort which feels like a pyramid scheme; wedding planning has been so easy for me, give me ££ and I’ll show you how you can plan an expensive stress free wedding too.

I must have missed the part where she thanked the bank of mum and dad for contributing generously and alleviating the stress! She stopped living in the real world when she quit her job and it shows!

I bet she’s just itching for autumn to finally roll around, I think fall and winter are her “cosy” content niche. She has SEVERELY run out of ideas and I can already see all the cozy decorating, baking, walks, etc when it gets colder outside. Her content is just so boring though that after the first few videos it will all be the same regurgitated format.

Also- I can’t believe she recorded audio of Cameron talking during his meeting?? Privacy issues aside, it’s just such an immature thing to do, and definitely something that he could get in trouble for.

She is charging £26 for a digital wedding planner that includes tabs for a wedding day schedule and vision board. Surely most people can just do that stuff themselves instead of handing over £26 to Ellen. Maybe this is something her followers have been asking for? I wouldn't know.

Surprised to hear she recorded Cameron on a work call when her previous workplace took such a poor view of her YouTube antics!

When I still watched her regularly, I would always skip over anything involving her friends/parties etc as both her and Cameron were always so loud and OTT during these times. Cameron, in particular, never comes across particularly well when she shows him with his friends. Always so rowdy!

Omg agreed! They give such immature frat party vibes. It’s really cringe.

If anyone is planning a wedding and looking to minimise costs, a simple Reddit search will provide wedding day schedule/templates for free. Pinterest can be used to curate a vision board and good news is that it’s free ha!

She’s so money driven, and while that’s not a bad thing, she does it in the tackiest way possible.

In her first few hosting videos where she had his friends over, you can see she looked/felt out of place but she seems to have adapted just fine ever since!

I do wonder how many of those she'll sell.

Only 5K views on her latest vlog and the one before that is also currently less than 10K. Something tells me YouTube is not bringing in the big bucks.

Maybe she'll go in to wedding planning!

Honestly being a wedding planner is not for the weak and I don’t think she would enjoy “wedding stuff” when it’s not her own wedding. I don’t think she’s keen on ever returning to a real job

All she wants is to be a (Stepford) wife and mum with a 'doodle' type dog, to go to/have coffee mornings with similarly dull likeminded people, where they can talk about the latest Farrow and Ball colours. All while their husbands work at a high pressured job to keep them in their comfortable, if boring, lifestyle.

I've got an acquaintance like that and, for years, she's lived in dread her husband will leave her - he's provided the money for a very nice house, private schooling for their child (who then went to a Russell Group university) but I've often wondered what my acquaintance (a former work colleague who gave up her own fulfilling job when they got married to 'prepare for having children') had to talk to him about when he got home, when her life revolved around the 'ladies who lunch' types.

Basically, Ellen's devalued herself from an independent, self-reliant, city career woman to a Stepford Wife.

We can shudder at the film, we don't want it to be real life!

But wasn't that always her goal? The only blip to her life plan was the previous fella dumping her but, luckily, Cameron turned up in time. Sadly, women like her are ten a penny. Mrs Pankhurst will be spinning!

I completely get wanting to leave work once you *actually* have children. Being a mother to babies/toddlers is more than a full time job. But I’ve seen so many moms lose their identity once their children grow up and they have no career/hobbies/friends to return to. She needs to have her own life rather than just being at home or in Cameron’s bubble of friends.

I've woken early so am watching last week's (low views and only 244 likes). Is she a parody and has been having us all on? She's actually just said 'the best invention ever was when we made this biscuit jar' - it's literally biscuits in a jar by the kettle! And now she's banging on about Notion...!

Time to get up and head to my 'drink station' :ROFLMAO:

Almost at the end of the last one (wedding prattle, getting her nails done, being a pain in the a while Cameron was on a work meeting) and that was a tedious watch! I honestly think she's regressed to being an immature teenaged girl - banging on about Taylor Swift, 'inspo' for whatever, fiddling with her hair, being 'excited' to have burgers for her tea and a 'self care evening' (i.e a bath!). She's going to wear thin with Cameron before too long!

Agreed, feel like she has no context of real life and also isn’t fully submerged in “influencer” circles and events so she is this weird in between that doesn’t work for her viewers.

Judging by her latest viewing figures, it looks as though she may be wearing thin with her audience too. The figures for her most recent video are exceptionally low - 6.2K views after 6 days.

Whenever I watch her now it's like watching a different person to how she was a few years back. I do wonder if some of how she acts is just for YouTube (maybe she's seen this behaviour from another influencer and thinks it will appeal to her viewers?)* All I know is this OTT/loud/highly excited by everything/flappy hands person is not who she used to be.

*It's really not working.

I watched her newest video to see whether it kept any of the vibes of her old videos what with the season transition. She just comes across as a wannabe who's ticking the boxes of what it means to be an influencer. Random haul of seasonal decor all in one go, baking sourdough because everyone else, all the hand gestures god help us, setting goals for viewers validation. just all a bit sad
