For someone who’s trying to be a content creator, she really doesn’t do much with her social media. She’s currently in South Africa and she hasn’t posted one story/post on IG. It could be that she doesn’t care about driving traffic to her page, which is fair.

But realistically speaking, what content creator doesn’t care about engagement and building a social media presence.
I find this strange too, especially since she is very focused on the numbers of it all and always includes increasing her IG followers etc. on her vision board.

So glad her hand gestures enrage other people as much as me, it’s so annoying!! I did like her to begin with but can no longer relate when all she does all day is read or mince around in her marble handmade kitchen, in her house on the river (I’m thinking it must be near Richmond so ££££). She is definitely holding out to be a stepford wife while Cameron works away all week.

Her vlogs were soo good until she went full time. So dull and so cringe now. Seems a lonely life for a 30 yr old!

Thank you for this thread, I've been looking for one for our Ellen!

I've watched her since her break-up with the previous boyfriend and felt she was more natural and relatable in those days.

It would be wrong of me to comment on the speed of her relationship with Cameron, because I met my husband, got engaged after three months, bought a house three months after that and married two months later! (16 years ago!)

I wish her well, but agree that the hand gestures are a bit over the top and she seems to be a little out of touch with people of a similar age. I bet her book obsession will fly out of the window when she has a baby!

Also she’s said that Cameron works in Manchester most of the week, so she doesn’t even have his company. Don’t get me wrong I’m an introvert and love my own company, but I’d really struggle to go from my corporate job etc to swanning around home alone, reading, and making a few vlogs and reels.

I think their home was £1.2-1.3m. I cannot imagine what the mortgage would be for that. She’s also said previously her and Cameron used to make around the same amount so their income is now halved. How in the world are they affording so many trips and a destination wedding??? Are they relying on parents for money?

Her house was just shy of £1.2m and roughly within 10 miles of richmond (hopefully vague enough i'm not doxxing her as thats not my intention lol) I actually like her videos but i'm always curious as to what others are saying hence me finding this thread 😂

I wish to God she'd find this page so she could see how enraging, irritating and annoying those sodding, constant hand moves are! You'd think she'd notice it when she's editing her vlogs?!

Tbh, the hand movements are irritating, but also are the constant crotch/bum shots. Why put the camera at minge level? It's very inelegant and a little unsavoury.
Ellen, if you read, please put it away and show a little more class!

The only output in a week has been a long ramble about books (I don't watch those) and a 16 minute vlog about batch cooking. That's really going to rake in the cash and get her to those 100k subscribers she's desperate for.....! She either needs to be serious about this new YouTube 'career' or just go back to the corporate world.

The truth has emerged about her leaving her 9-5 and going full-time on YouTube. In her latest vlog she says the company she worked for changed their social media policy and the new policy meant that she would have to quit YouTube completely - so she chose YouTube over her 9-5. Sounds as though the company was keeping close tabs on her too - she mentioned that they watched a lot of her videos.

Wow ! But at the time she said her contract was ending ... 🙄 no wonder Youtubers are seen as disingenuous when they lie about stuff like this

She said she couldn't talk about it at the time as they were watching her videos. Made me wonder if she was the reason they changed the entire company policy?! Apparently with the old policy she was not breaking the rules, but with the new policy she would be and would have to completely stop YouTube.

It's not like she really showed her workplace or talked about work a whole lot anyway from what I remember- it was mostly just showing her commute and what she ate for lunch. But I guess even that wasn't acceptable under the new guidelines?

She said she knows people miss her 9-5 vlogs.

She did show her working from home and on Video calls in some blogs, I think my work would have something to say if they found out I was recording myself on calls during working hours. I'm glad she has at least been honest about it now. It sounds like it came as a bit of a shock, I wonder if they suspended her.

Much less silly squealing, inane smiling into the camera and weird hand gestures in this week's vlog which was refreshing.

She might not have mentioned her workplace, but at the time she had an active LinkedIn account with her work listed on her profile so it would have been easy to find out where she worked.

I’m not sure what I would do in that situation if I was made to choose between a hobby with a passive income and my career - tough and I feel slightly sorry for her! I guess she can always find another 9-5 that’s lenient with their social media policy.

I feel like the truth is being stretched here to suit her narrative. She is clearly reading here.
💯 reading here as we have been asking why she would give up an actual career for youtube.

She obviously comes from money and had a good education and managed to get a good career but think she would just be happy being another boring range river driving beige wife

Also is it just me or is she very eager to start growing their family?? She’s mentioned it a few times and now in this vlog she was talking about growing family, babies and dogs. Slow down!!

Clearly keen to have the wedding and move on to the next phase of her life which is being a beige Surrey yummy mummy.

She is absolutely someone who has clear goals and a set plan for how her life will pan out. The break-up of her long-term relationship didn't even throw her off course one bit, she just fast-tracked things with Cameron so that she'd meet those goals - bought a house together after one year (less than one year?) and then were engaged soon after.

maybe it was also easier for them to terminate her because she was a contractor? I do feel bad that she had to choose but it wouldn’t be hard for someone with her experience to find another job.

Ah, she did share a lot about the sort of thing she was doing though. I seem to remember she came off a call and talked about someone being really difficult to work with or rude/hostile to her. It was interesting for us, but I bet that wasn’t appreciated by employer…!
