Wonder what she’s been up to the last few weeks. Barely uploads, barely any online presence. Doesn’t seem like much of a “job” to her. I think it’s much easier to hit a slump when you don’t have an actual job forcing you keep some kind of routine, forcing you out of the house, forcing you to see other people, etc.
Probably first trimester.

I just came across Hannah Adkins on YouTube, Ellen's content is very copy cat!
Hannah and Ellen were friends way back. I think they might have gone to the same uni but not 100% sure.

Back in the early days of her channel, Ellen mentioned Hannah a few times as sort of a 'YouTube inspiration' and was also all over her IG comments. Hannah never seemed to return the favour and there is no evidence that they are friends these days.

Hannah has a thread on here if you're interested in reading more. Her vlogs are very aesthetically pleasing, but boring. (IMO)

Ah now you mention that I do remember Ellen mentioning her friend Hannah who was successful on YouTube - I assumed she meant Hannah Ricketts. Whatever you think of Hannah Adkins, her vlogs are superior in every way compared to Ellen's within that over saturated genre and that is shown in the difference between their subscriber numbers. I was very surprised to see quite how derivative Ellen's content is - she even copies Hannah Adkin's thumbnail style. It makes it even more mind boggling that Ellen gave up her successful career plus the 9-5 content to be a poor imitation of an ex friend!

There are loads of them, all identikit models of each other.
I had no idea! The algorithm had only previously shown me Ellen's channel - probably as we live in the same part of Zone 6 London and I do watch a lot of local content. So is Hannah Adkins the UK originator of that style of vlog?

Hannah was one of my YouTube faves for a while, but I found her content took a turn for the very boring when she moved to the Cotswolds. I also followed her mostly for her plant-based content, which she has since dropped. Her vlogs do look good, though! Everything is very pretty.

Couldn’t tell you but I’ve noticed if you follow 1, the algorithm then recommends loads of other her clones. I hadn’t realised there were so many others, either, until they all started popping up on my recommendations.

What is the point of them all? Do companies sponsor them indiscriminately, or do most of them not make the poor decision that Ellen has and leave their lucrative careers to be full time YouTubers - all very mind boggling, but strangely fascinating!

They all generally do get the same sponsors and probably have the same audio too. Maybe Ellen is taking time off until fall hits so she can begin the “cozy” content. You can only film yourself gardening in the summertime for so long till your audience gets tired.

Probably first trimester.
They're in Mauritius, having a well-earned holiday from their hectic lives....cue incoming "holiday shop with me", "pack with me", "my holiday reading list", "what I have on my kindle", "look, we're significantly richer than you" vlogs!
I'm so envious! 😉🤣

Just how much money does she (and Cameron) have?! Not only did they have that massive, extravagant, ostentatious wedding in South Africa but they had a honeymoon in Mauritius (in what looks to be extremely luxurious accommodation)!

They have that (nearly £2M) house, food shop at M&S and Waitrose and she's forever buying clothes (Free People, ME+EM, White Company etc) not to mention books from Waterstones! They're often at expensive garden centres buying a tit ton of plants and they painted their living room not once but twice (when she wasn't keen on the colour) with Farrow and Ball!

She's about as far from relatable as she could be for the average woman in their early to mid thirties! (which isn't me, I'm almost twice her age!).

(@Fanny-Dango we posted within seconds of each other :D )

I watched a bit of the honeymoon video but found it felt too voyeuristic - I don’t know what my friends and family got up to for their last holiday let alone seeing the intimate details of someone’s honeymoon! There is an unspoken social agreement that certain parts of life, especially an intimate, romantic honeymoon, belong strictly inside the relationship and by filming it for context Ellen has definitely jumped the shark..

The moment I stopped watching was a clip she put in of Cameron sitting down singing to himself and then doing an awkward wave - he looked a bit care in the community and I thought how mean it was that she included that.

And yes the amount of money that her and Cameron have access to doesn’t seem to reflect their respective incomes so they are clearly being bankrolled by one or both of their families, or had a lottery win!
