Wtf. He’s called himself part of the scientific community in relation to talking about covid vax. He’s a failed orthopaedic trainee, he’s done nothing in relation to covid 😂

Everything he does is for content. He will jump on any bandwagon for exposure and wokeness. So much of what he promotes goes against nhs guidelines. With covid being such a risk for overweight people surely his professional ethics would prevent him bashing anyone promoting healthy eating/diets. He's patronising and preachy and the very definition of white privilege.

He is also notorious for sending his followers (mainly middle aged women) to attack anyone he doesn't agree with.

Nothing grinds my gears more than medical professionals storying, doing ads, preaching shit, tik toking whilst dressed in their scrubs. It's just so against everything the profession stands for and complete exploitation and show-offy.
Yep! I had an appointment once with a hormone specialist at a private hospital. She cancelled my appointment due to unforeseen circumstances and was on instagram live talking about hormones! Not impressed. I mentioned it to my NHS consultant and apparently she’s all about the celebs and being insta famous! Her PA called to rebook the appointment and I was like ‘nope, I want a real dr not one who’s trying to grift on insta!’ He gives me the impression that he would be the same!

As I remember he's taken a year out to do his MSc in Nutrition and is currently in process of doing the 2nd part of MRCS ( membership of Royal college of surgeons) which is essential for securing a post on a surgical training rotation to eventually become a consultant ...I think he was interested in orthopaedics and will find out in next few weeks if he's been successful in obtaining a rotation in his specialist rotation....he could end up miles away from where he currently lives depending on the Deanery he's selected .....he's still got several years of training before becoming a consultant
membership exams are notoriously difficult to pass
I've worked with so many Medics over the years good, amazing , and truly awful ( including 2 A&E consultants who have a TV presence and are truly wonderful , caring people) but he just gives me the boak with his pretentious twaddle....I can imagine him in some Harley St clinic spouting his nutribollocks guff

Anyone else think his ‘advice’ comes with a tinge of superiority? Re domestic abuse and football- says he doesn’t even like it, then says that anyone with a ‘football mad’ partner should be checked in on, as if being enough of a halfwit to be a football fan is a sure indicator of violent tendencies 🙄 everything he says seems so smug.
in Australia there is significant research indicating that abuse does get worse after a team loses. Abuse becomes worse still during finals season, usually a mixture of alcohol and anger leads to more hospitalisations. So even if he does seem smug, the research does indicate he is right and partners of abusive people should be checked in on.

Jumping on band wagons is his speciality, he is the very definition of white privilege. He's criticising jk Rowling in his stories because she dared to challenge someone on Twitter referring to us as 'humans who menstruate'. I'm appalled. As a dr if he can't see that women should be allowed to be called woman/ female/her then he seriously needs to check his medical training. What a fucking idiot.

Haven’t been on this thread in years, I see nothing has changed

Of COURSE he’s nailed parenting after a month, insufferable knob. Book to follow.

I loved him at first but now he just likes the insta fame. Bangs on about diets not working and how we should all be body positive but am pretty sure his account started as a weight loss one and pretty easy to bash diets once you’ve lost the weight (think he lost 5stone). Plus doesn’t he make out that he’s a consultant when he most definitely isn’t! Thank god I haven’t come across a doctor like him!

He’s one of the only medics I know that actually walks about with a stethoscope round his neck 🙄🙈 I bet he’s one of these wanks that puts the letters of his degree after his name on his bank account and utility bills. Dr Wankrich Pr.cK hons

I know this thread is quiet, but I cannot stand the weird faces he makes when he talks - it's like he's trying to look deep and clever but it's just annoying 🙄

Joining with interest. Two people wind me up on Instagram, him and ‘disability activist’ Nina Tame (who has spent years trying to be insta famous until she realised she could make money from just being alive and disabled).

I am a small fat person and don’t appreciate him as an ally, it’s a performance.

💯! Never an excuse but especially during a pandemic! In my health board you would have it noted on your record if caught leaving in uniform and if repeated could lead to a disciplinary. Just like having your phones out in the ward texting etc; others may do it but doesn’t take away from how unprofessional it is.

I liked him until I realised he was religious.
Not really got anything to do with what his page is about or him as a person though had it!?

I used to like this guy, he calls out all the bull surrounding fad diets eg juicing. And don't get me wrong I still think it's great that he's doing that, because people need educating on these things. However have unfollowed because it feels like now he rips apart anybody who follows a "diet", I wish he would realise that some people need the structure of a recognised weight management plan such as Weight Watchers or slimming world. I don't know why he spend so much of his time on this. He bangs on about intuitive eating but not everybody can do this.
I like him, will admit I’ve not watched his stories lately but love that more people such as Joshua, James smith and Diren are calling all the fad diets out such as boombod skinny coffee etc, but each to their own and whatever eating plan works stuck to it😁

I'm surprised he lasted this long before letting his smugness start to show again 😂 guess it's something new from the constant "ask me a question" or "any questions for Claire?" that he keeps posting and never does.

“I’m not trying to act superior”

No, clearly not, seeing as that’s a massive infection control issue wearing your scrubs to sainsburys.

The irony being, he's obsessed with his looks and weight. He's not an expert, he's not even an experienced dr. Just another bored priviledge twat wanting to be a tv dr.
Yep his insta was a diet page to start. Once he lost all the weight, he changed his tune. Most people who lose a lot of weight seem to become very preachy and start telling others to ditch the diet mindset and that the scales don’t matter. STFU, of course they matter if you are on a diet. Scales and a tape measure will determine your progress.
