Remembered this post and just quoting it to say there’s a production of The Little Mermaid on in Greenock in Scotland this week. I think it’s going to start becoming a lot more popular with amateur clubs since the rights are available now and it’s an incredible show so definitely recommend you see it if a club near you does itNot about the parks but has anyone seen Beauty & The Beast in London?
I’m a huge fan of the lion king production but didn’t really like Aladdin as it felt a bit pantomime. Is B&TB good? I wish we got The Little Mermaid here
I went at the end of July and HATED it. Felt like a pantomime and acting was poor in my opinion. I feel like Disney are doing cash grabs at the moment with musicals and they’re no where near in the same league as the lion king. But that’s just my opinion…Not about the parks but has anyone seen Beauty & The Beast in London?

Totally agree with this, yes there is a lot of walking but you can stop whenever/all over and you’ll be on rides a lot of the time. Just wear comfy shoes with support if you can as your feet will ache! I don’t think you’re doing Disney right if you’ve lost weight ha ha too much good foodErmmm last time we went some days we were walking up to 20k steps a day but you can take it slowly with lots of ride stops, snack stops and sit downs. I wouldn’t worry you just go with the flow whilst your there.
You’ll do a lot of walking but also you’ll be having lots of breaks on rides etc so it’s not like you’re walking 20k+ steps in one go. Good comfortable shoes are a must. Having your last week at Universal is a good plan as you can take it at a slower pace than Disney. I find despite eating crap loads my weight stays the same presumably because of all the walking. Doing an hour walking a day after previously doing nothing is great preparation and will help!So I'm going to Orlando in November (first trip) and I am someone who normally does no exercise whatsoever (apart from house chores) so I have been trying the past month to walk an hour daily to help build up stamina and fitness. I have also been trying to lose a little bit of weight because I want to feel I can eat what I want when out there. So my questions are:
Is there anyone on here who literally isn't very active at all normally and then goes, how do you find it physically?
Am I doing enough preparation physically? I think it's my limit. I know it's not continuous walking and I have mild M.E so we will be having lots of rests.
What are people's experiences with losing/gaining weight after their trips? We will be going for 3 weeks mainly having quick service lunches in the parks but then I drive meals for tea. Last week will be Universal only and citywalk. I'm asking here as someone else asked in FB group and I was shocked that a lot of people claimed they ate what they want and actually lost weight with the walking!
I’m out in Florida at the moment. I usually do bugger all fitness wise and am walking 20k steps in searing heat. Just buy comfy shoes (go walks are awesome) and learn to have some downtime to recoup. You can’t do everything in a few days. Make sure to keep hydrated and cool as possible, the weather is a lot more bearable in November than now.So I'm going to Orlando in November (first trip) and I am someone who normally does no exercise whatsoever (apart from house chores) so I have been trying the past month to walk an hour daily to help build up stamina and fitness. our countdown is now down to 16 days and I am SO excited
we have MNSSHP booked but have learned from doing the Christmas party in 2019 that we can’t do a full park day then stay for the party (I quite literally nearly passed out during the midnight Christmas parade!)
So we are thinking lazy morning and then maybe a lunch at Cheesecake Factory and a wander round super target.
Which Cheesecake Factory do people go to in Florida? I think there’s a newer one that was being built last time we went
The one near mall at millenia sign says super target so I always call it that buuuut I don’t know if it’s actually any bigger or better than any others.Super target?? Where is this…??!!
The other side of the road from the Mall, you go past it when you come off the I4.Super target?? Where is this…??!!
Just been to Cheesecake Factory at the mall at millennia, just as good as always. The new one is at the outlets nearer Disney, I will probably go there as well before leaving.our countdown is now down to 16 days and I am SO excited

Are you staying in one of the park hotels? If so Magic Shuttle was about €48 for two people one way. I couldn't book this going back to CDG so booked a taxi from Top Paris Transfers. Price was set upon booking and you pay the driver at the end. This was €65 for two people. The driver text me when he arrived at our hotel and was about 5/10 minutes early which was good.Ah chuffed that I found this thread. We go to Disneyland Paris next month but are struggling with airport transfers, can anyone recommend a company please?
We used prestige, they were fantastic - met us at arrivals and had Disney dvds for the kids.Ah chuffed that I found this thread. We go to Disneyland Paris next month but are struggling with airport transfers, can anyone recommend a company please?
