When the pack attack, it's always the same. They expect FMs to explain their views (unless they are the same as their own), and even when explanations are provided in detail, they continue to brow beat the opinion. They are cruel bullies who are being allowed to continue their evil ways, whilst the great atmosphere that DS used to have has been killed off.

Yes, they are not happy if you can’t provide endless links, proof, charts, facts and figures for every little point. To me that’s not a discussion by normal, everyday people. If they want this depth of discussion, and impress other posters, go and read all the research or start your own in depth group. I’m not doing a university assignment, just want to comment to the limit of my admittedly limited knowledge, like most people.
I'm different to you then. If I got into a disagreement and then got a snarky response, such as "why are you so rude?" or (the old chestnut) "hang your head in shame" which I have to say always made me roll my eyes, then I used to respond because the members of the gang were very selective in their castigations. Certain members couldn't write a post without the usual tiresome insults which the loons don't realise have lost their meaning because they're flung around like confetti. I'm speaking about the politics section here. It's a clique of the most intolerant lefties and yet they promote themselves as tolerant. I responded because some of the more nasty posts went unchecked by this "tolerant" band.
I find the best way to look at ds politics forum is with a giggle. Sanctimonious idiots on there make me laugh with their sneery one sided attitude. It's why it's become an echo chamber for the left. They are always asking where brexit supporters have gone - well the simple answer is they have ganged up and hounded them off.
Yep I read it but don't contribute: it's clear that if you don't hold the accepted viewpoint you'll have your intelligence questioned, called a gammon, and every other unimaginative insult that they have in their repertoire. Why would people bother engaging with them; life's too short!
Unfortunately I suspect that this reasserts to most of them that they must be "right" and that the other people have left because somehow they've been 'beaten' by their moral and intellectual superiority.

It's easy enough to see if she's been banned and she hasn't.

Obviously I don't know whether she's a mod or not but there's certainly something going on there. I think she's just staying aways because of what happened on Sunday night.
She's certainly gone quiet this week. Popping my head into DS there are few current threads that you would expect her to be all over. I just don't understand why she wasn't banned for her comments in a thread about miscarriage. She not only told us that she was happy to have lost a baby but went on to call another poster a "frump" because they didn't instantly dawn the designer black trouser suits moments after their own miscarriage.

What's the deal with the Covid Guru? Does anyone know what they were screaming at us about before Covid arrived? Brexit probably I would guess.
I have also had enough of the "wannabe mod" who spends his time telling us how "POINTLESS" threads are. Despite being a member of the self appointed forum police they do spend a lot of time filling the fourm with their thread whining and drive by posts.

The only way she can feasibly get away with her repeated awful comments has got to be linked to her being a mod or at least knowing one.

She posted briefly on dogs and was all sweetness and light.
Just a few posts and nothing exciting, but she got short shrift. The dogs owner takes no tit and wasn't letting her pontificate without joining up as it wastes his time scanning through posts from 'guests' for anything dodgy. She chose not to join(so far anyway). Wise decision. On dogs she would never ever get away with the crap she pulls on DS, the doggies would rip her to shreds and the owner would let them

I dunno which thread you all read on DS. It looks suspiciously like the LBC General Chit-Chat thread. Bangla and his friends try to rule the roost, with their snarky remarks. Any presenter they don't like has a childish made-up name.

Yes I believe so, I was sad to hear that. A lot of people didn't like Ebony but I found her quite harmless and there was a fairly long running thread of hers that I contributed to that had a lot of lovely posters in it. Those were the days
CornishPiskie got banned a year or so ago. I remember I was the prey for the day in the Politics Forum a couple of years ago (and many times since!) and had the whole pack on me. Although we didn't share the same views on anything, she messaged me to say don't let them upset me and just ignore them and if I needed a rant, just to private message her which I thought was nice of her as she didn't have to do that so I was sorry to see she'd gone.
Anne666 I haven't seen for a long time - she was one of the first posters I remember from the BB days.
