Yes, they are not happy if you can’t provide endless links, proof, charts, facts and figures for every little point. To me that’s not a discussion by normal, everyday people. If they want this depth of discussion, and impress other posters, go and read all the research or start your own in depth group. Oh I've had posts reported for sure and I do have discussions it's just that I never let it go so far as to get me banned.
I'm different to you then. If I got into a disagreement and then got a snarky response, such as "why are you so rude?" or (the old chestnut) "hang your head in shame" which I have to say always made me roll my eyes, then I used to respond because the members of the gang were very selective in their castigations. Certain members couldn't write a post without the usual tiresome insults which the loons don't realise have lost their meaning because they're flung around like confetti. I'm speaking about the politics section here. It's a clique of the most intolerant lefties and yet they promote themselves as tolerant. Yes I believe so, I was sad to hear that. A lot of people didn't like Ebony but I found her quite harmless and there was a fairly long running thread of hers that I contributed to that had a lot of lovely posters in it. CornishPiskie got banned a year or so ago. I remember I was the prey for the day in the Politics Forum a couple of years ago (and many times since!) and had the whole pack on me.
