Yes, it's time to go and see what's being discussed by people who've probably not even heard of DS. The opportunity to grind a few axes and vent some spleen on this thread has been most cathartic.

All the posts on the toast thread between Miss 1982 and replies have been removed. And I bagged my first ever warning for telling Victoria Sponge that it was one of my favorite posts ever!

Weirdly (and therefore within the parameters of my default setting) it was only intended as lightly sarcastic (also part of the default setting) as the bread in question is 'hand finished' tomato sourdough but it's on the posh breads shelf and anything vaguely artisan is presumed to be hand knitted.

I'm more disappointed that nobody picked up on the lack of apricot jam on the tomato bread toast.

Nonetheless amused at seeing a sponge throw in the towel... interesting technique, self banning by proxy.
