I really don’t understand it. It’s annoying because there’s lots of stuff on BBC I like so it would be good to have access to a catch up service for stuff I’ve missed. All the other UK channels have made similar services available here.

It looks like you have to pay extra to get it added to your Prime feed. I don’t know if it’s a better deal than just subscribing to Britbox directly.
I will take a look tomorrow then thanks if it's any cheaper I may get it.

Its more the old sitcoms and stuff from the 70's and 80's I am more interested in

Although I probably have most of them on DVD anyway

My goodness just read one comment on AV about why DS might have closed politics. If some of those comments are correct with what some posters said then I am not surprised they decided to shut it down. They will have to be careful on AV as well because i doubt they will put up with it
You mean this one, posted about ten minutes ago?

"Maybe the Mods got bored deleting posts about sexual assault involving certain politicians, or how much Pritti Patel could charge as a trafficked sex worker"

I thought Tv forums was closing it’s doors because the owner couldn’t afford to run it anymore?
I think Asa said something along those lines plus it's taken up 20 years of his life. There's another forum replacing it straight away though, think it's called TV Live Forum.

Woke is a positive. Right wingers use it as a pejorative term because they have dark hearts that don’t like blacks, gays and women. Therefore they think woke is a bad thing and not a positive trait.
Check out the 'GB News launching' thread in Broadcasting, the post by LittleGirlOf7

So do we think that General discussion at least might make a comeback one day. I do think that give or take a year it might return in some form

I went on Dogs a couple of years ago. The worst of DS were on there and, once they knew who you were, they were brutal. Came off there very quickly. They were like the mafia
Weren’t they the ones who weren’t cool enough for DTV?

I never thought it was a real forum I just thought it was a run off.

I actually loath Schofield. He thinks he is a god. ITV have a lot to answer for, overkill the likes of which I've never known before.
that was the strange thing most of the stuff being posted was just comments on stories already in mainstream media
yet it would be locked or deleted straight away. The saggy arse thread was 100% all about tweets stories yet it was closed.
we've had all this mess with Morgan leaving GMB. But it was fine for Schofield to hand Cameron a list of names he had off the internet.
then have ruth to stand there saying sorry for a mistake HE made.

it seems daft they didnt put all 3 into that one area.
I know showbiz had been a bit slow lately but the other two were very active.

Does anybody remember a poster on DS who said that they would leave the forum once they reached a certain amount of posts? I think they were a student in between school and College?

Totally agree with this. Having an in between view often gets you attacked by both sides. Happened to me on several threads. Most recently the Harry and Megan Oprah interview. I have worked in Corporate Communications/PR for years and therefore have frequently interacted with journalists and broadcasters. So, without being boastful, I do think I know a bit about how the media works. With that in mind I posted that I didn’t think H&M going to war with the media and giving interviews about family rifts was a good idea. Because the media never forgets anyone who has crossed them and they will wait in the long grass for every opportunity to hit back. And airing your family problems via the media just widens the familial rift and gives the media more ammunition. But I got told I was advising that they submitted to bullies and was saying they had no right to defend themselves. That was not what I was saying. I was saying you have to recognise how the media works and find better and more subtle ways of getting your story across. In other words you have to find a way of dealing with the world as it is not how you think it should be. But I gave up because everybody knew better than me.
Without wanting to come across as a 'fawner', Amelia, FWIW I've seen some of your posts over on DS and often find myself agreeing.

Did she lose a child? I know of two posters that were on CH4 forums who also lost children.

Except they didnt. One was a liar and the other wasnt a sock puppet of another poster pretending to be a grieving mother.
I always believed that was one of the things she was telling the truth about but I could be wrong.
