He's been on DS every day, lurking. I mean, if you go away for a break I'd be into a good book & phone switched into airplane mode.
He boasted about being retired a good while back.

deisigal moaning about people moaning about her use of nicknames. Well, no one posts in there anymore apart from your little gang of mates so you can fill your boots with your funny little nicknames. I have no idea who or what she's talking about. ' Drool Bri Tanya ' for Rule Britannia?? WTF. That took a while.

The thing with that thread is you used to be able to read it and enjoy it whether you had listened to a show or not that day. Now, if you are listening 24/7 and contributing in real time you get a 'did you listen to the show?' or 'I thought you didn't listen to (name presenter)'.

The Steve Allen thread has been hijacked too.

Martin R replied to deisegal yesterday & got blanked.
He's back in their sights sadly.
They seem to be interpreting what they choose fit via their listening.

Talking of one person on multiple forums, there is a rather prolific forumite called Samthefootball.

Google that name, and at least ten results will pop up. Everything from DS, to MSE and beyond.

He even got banned from an Airsoft forum of all places.

Hopefully he's got over his issues with his (step?)brother. He reminded me a bit of 5340robert who was jealous of his sister. Does anyone remember him?

She (I think) used to post a lot in the Big Brother forums years ago and I always got the impression that she was an american living in America. Now, from what they say, they obviously live here - am I wrong about them being an american?

I think she is British, used to be in a clique with Joni something and Anne666 etc

It's their own fault for letting it get into such a state. It's way more of a liability than an asset for Hearst so they ignored it until the best way to deal with it was close those forums.


They won't last long if they do.

That’s what I think has happened. Discussions must have taken place behind closed doors, regarding the current state of DS.

Just saw a thread about Nikki Grahame from BB7 on TV Forum and thought that people in DS would be discussing the subject so went to check the BB section and there was nothing there. Although did check Showbiz and there was nothing there too.

DS must be in it's final months or at least final year as even though BB has been gone for a while you'd think people would still be discussing it. DSBB was the biggest and busiest forum for the show.

What's happened with Nikki? The last photo I saw of her, she looked dreadfully unwell.

I have no idea if it was the real McCoy, but over on Sleeping Dogs a poster claiming to be patdfb has announced that she will no longer post on DS due to certain posters being untouchable.

Which caused my irony meter to explode in a shower of glass and red mercury.

Really, thats hilarious, that one has their finger over the report button constantly, maybe they are actually beginning to realise that it's just a few people constantly reporting anything. I've had 2 groupings of mods emails so it was easy for me to pinpoint who was reporting me. I decided to block them so I didn't get sucked in and I never interact with that poster.

Personally, I think that whoever posted as Lucien De Ville now posts as Tanya. The posting style has been refined over the months that they've been posting because it started out very similar to Lucien. I got put in forum jail for pointing that out, although all I actually did was quote one of Tanya's posts and wrote "No, can't do this. Far too familiar".

Didn't that Lucien character get banned about 15 years ago and still keeps coming back under different guises? I wonder what they get out of it.

Just searched my old user name. Last active 13/13/2007 didn’t realise it was that long ago!! Just seen a thread for a game ‘celebdaq’ can’t remember if it was part of DS or just a link but I loved it. Just seeing some of the old names Kittylitter, Pru, showbizgossqueen, pairofpants. Reminded of a suspected troll graemecarter sorry for all the old memories, just enjoying looking back!

I love to read posts like these. On Dogs their DS thread is basically people talking about things they can't talk about on DS, its not really about DS and its weird and wonderful members anymore, it's just a circle of guest saying the same things over and over. Someone did try to change the subject the other day by talking about a well-known forum perve who hounds women on forums. But the admin shut that down and now it's back to who they believe are DS mods, Corbyn and now a tangent about Scotland independence, half the posts have nowt to do with DS.

Pairofpaints (POPS) was admin on DSU/DTV she died a few years ago as did Betty the other female admin.

I think women noticed it more due to how she was always describing her clothing or eating. It always made me think of an old fashioned porno.

She posted a picture of her "girlfriend" in one thread. The photo was from a Russian porn site (I reverse searched it on google)

I have today been aleerted to comments yesterday about a former DS poster, DippyDi.

I have no reason to suspect she was a troll - what would have been her purpose? I only knew her through DS, but myself and another friend exchanged correspondence several times with her on PM. There never was anything that suggested that she was anything but genuine.

Before she became ill herself, her mother was ill and she contracted Covid. When DD became ill, perhaps initially not so seriously, she may have reflected on her mother's situation and decided that in case anything happened to her she would pass on her passwords to her brother (she may have used the same password for all sites, and therefore it was not too much effort).

Since she died we have heard from her brother a couple of times, and her girlfriend.

A few days ago, it would have been her birthday. I wonder what prompted chandlercheesecake to suddenly post his / her suspicions after all this time.

I've posted about DippyDi here before, but I didn't mention the username. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed DippyDi's strange posts, because other posters here were talking about certain DS members.

I remember some of her posts were a bit far fetched , she made posts on DS whilst apparently :
- preparing dinner for in-laws
- drinking champagne in French hotel
- in a traffic jam and the traffic was starting to move

She said weird specific stuff which women wouldn't usually boast about, such as being catcalled by workmen whilst eating a Cornetto in a park.
She was a lesbian, but way she described herself reminded me of a male fantasy of a lesbian.

Another DS member I found odd was Frazer_Young. He also seemed like a troll to me.

Just looked at the Daily Stuff (new) site, two members, both ex DS and one a keen follower of monosexual practices, lets hope it takes off and attracts all the DS drama queens and kings.

It is reassuring to know though that here when (yes when) they start playing up we can tell them to go forth and multiply using more colorful language without being banned

I've joined up over there but not sure if it will take off or not. I've revived my AVForums account also.

I see that Digispy has joined the hysteria over poor Sarah Everard's murder. All over social media it seems this tragedy has been hijacked by the woke mob, including the LGBTQ lobby. Over in digispy there are a few heated threads about keeping women safe. Obviously, being DS it's full of hypocrisy and hysterical generalisations about men etc. Its getting nasty over there right now. No measured debate at all.

Digital Spy is just the latest victim in the hive mind culture wars which extremists are waging using social media as their weapon.

Unfortunately their decision to exclusively moderate one side of each controversial argument just gives the perfect environment for extremism to breed and grow. Extremist posters are allowed free run to argue and belittle and berate the moderates who decide to stick their head above the parapet to make a case for reason. The moderates cannot win as they will be overwhelmed by the force of extremism and sheer numbers.

See the politic thread on the policing of the Sarah Everade vigil as an example. If posters like CRM are allowed to continue their bile unabated and are able to freely throw around personal abuse and unfounded crap with abandon then the forum is already dead and gone.

Yes I agree totally. Like I said earlier, the posts on Sarah Everard threads are getting ridiculous. Fairyprincess has made some crazy comments.
