Reminds me when I posted about a TV programme on Facebook. A now ex friend told me she had no idea who I'm talking about and how they don't own a TV
I got told off online for “spoiling” the ending of Harry Potter even though the film franchise had finished for years by that point and the last book was released about a decade before that.

I'm convinced that Sherewq is either a phishing bot, or somebody heavily on the spectrum. They endlessly post in the Soaps section but never once have they replied to any of the threads they start.

Oddly they have contributed to a couple of other threads today which surprised me. They were quite long running threads so I didn’t look to see if they were threads they had originally started or not

I noticed a thread from that poster earlier, "Have you ever lied about watching a film?" What?!
"I watched 'Silence of the Lambs' last night"
"Did you? Was it good?"
"Sorry, I lied, I didn't watch it"
"Oh. I must start a thread on Digital Spy about this!"

Does anyone remember “The Wizard” ?

He was a very snooty man who had high standards for everything. Stopped posting when he was trying to purchase a Pub I think?

DS have finally banned him/her. I know a lot of people have written to the mods about them before but they remained active, until now. Support wrote this post in a thread that someone created in Soaps called: ‘Is it possible to hide threads from a specific member?’

“As excessive as the thread creation has been, some have actually generated discussion and continue to get meaningful replies, which is why they weren't banned immediately. We do warn for excessive low-effort thread creation though, and as this has happened a lot recently with our warnings going ignored, action has been taken over the past few days in relation to this, so please rest assured it's been handled accordingly.”

At the end of the day,

DS is a load of BS.
AVF is very much WTF!

Neither forum serve a useful purpose anymore.

Both are run by idiots for idiots.

Whilst there are some good people on both forums, they are heavily outnumbered by the idiotic element.

Some have the cheek to call Tattle 'toxic'. They clearly haven't been on DS and AVF then!

Where 'toxic' moderation, and members rule the roost. At least here there is a wide range of opinions allowed, and you aren't hounded out, or endlessly reported for having opposing opinions - as happens on both DS and AVF.

Which is luckily why many of the 'toxic' element of both forums aren't on here. They wouldn't be able to get away with their shenanigans here.

Why do they go into orbit when someone bumps an old thread? I've seen two threads today, one from 2023 which was "bumped" and we got the "Oh, My, God!!!!!!!!!! AN OLD THREAD!!!!" and one from 2007 which has had a "Support, shut this down now!!!!" On the other had, if someone starts a new thread, you will get "This was discussed 15 years ago!! Use that thread!!!"

What is the issue with posting in old threads?

And if anything DS is more tolerant rules wise of old threads. I've known some forums get very annoyed with people doing it.

I think part of the issue is it's either been resolved or the advice / law has changed

Yeah, if the rules being referred to no longer apply, it could be misleading to whoever has not noticed the advice is out of date, or if it’s talking about a TV show, the opening post could say something like ‘X programme starts on X channel this Sunday’, misleading those who haven’t noticed it’s a 10 year old thread

I am becoming increasingly certain one of the following is posting on this very site.

Using the same language, hyperbole, and BS they use on the DS LBC, GB News, and Jeremy Vine threads.

- Straker
- Banglaturd
- James2001

Or possibly even the infamous Tanya1982.

That Banglatwat and Tanyaknowitall are both nasty, nasty pieces of work. I’m sure they post on Tattle.

I can’t stand Tanya1982. She has an answer for everything. If something has happened to someone, it’s happened to her but twice as bad. She thinks she’s a smart Alec

Absolute fantasist, actually not even convinced they're Female. Not fussed if they're on this forum or not but they do have quite a distinctive style so I'm pretty sure if they are on here, they're not following the same threads I do.
They also can't get people banned on here.

I remember a thread on the advice section of DS that was started by a college age teenage girl. From what I remember, her friend had stopped talking to her and she was loosing her mind over it. Many people had given her advice like “Just move on” or “Don’t bother” but she kept posting that’s it driving her mad.

They are a fantasist through and through with their 'engagements' and 'colourful' life stories.

They don't seem to constantly car crash around the forums like they did for the first year or two they were posting, but I always suspected they were a staff member's secret account because I've never seen one person being able to totally dominate an entire online message board like they did.

They did try to make themselves at home on Urban75 at one point but the people on that forum are made of tougher stuff than the DS lot and weren't having it, which was very amusing to see. So they could be here based on having attempted to 'branch out' before lol.

I always thought that "she" was actually a large, spotty bloke sitting in his bedroom in his mum's house dreaming up all those fantasies.
