[Be More Pacific]

I met my partner on Digital Spy He was asking for some difficult advice, he was in a bit of a state actually, and I just messaged him saying that he sounded like a lovely guy and hoped he'd get things sorted and be happy. Anyway, still together almost sixteen years later.

I do remember there was one couple on General Discussion who got together and were really flaunting it. It was pretty hot and heavy for a while. Can't remember their names though.

I used to be a member on DS up until about 6 or so years ago when I dared to have a different opinion in the politics forum with regards to BoJo and Brexit. Was pretty much warned off every time I tried to counter a (usually incorrect) lefty opinion and then was slapped with a lifetime ban, even though the people piling on to me with insult after insult were reported - nothing happened (of course)…

I swear to god that unless you’re a massive lefty with gender identity or mental health issues you’re not welcome on DS anymore.

I’ve just looked at the LBC and GB News threads…. It’s basically the politics forum all over again….. bunch of freaks, the lot of them.

On an unrelated matter, they were discussing ex members on AVF earlier. It's in General Chat/Today I Learned thread, so non members should be able to view it. @Notorious PIG you have received a couple of positive mentions.

I did really enjoy the food threads on there, sharing pics, recipes, reviews and tips. There were/are some really nice, and helpful posters there and generally across the board. I never post anything for brownie points or popularity, and I will never be everyone’s cups tea, but when people genuinely appreciate any of what I post, I really appreciate that.

Ultimately it was the site owner’s stinking attitude and his enablement of stinking attitudes from some of the other members that made me decide “enough’s enough”.

Does anyone remember Ryan Abbott... a more recent poster. He posted quite a lot. He then changed his username to something more anonymous, before disappearing one day.
He was gay and always talking about the celebs and soap stars he fancied. He had a thing for Martin Fowler off EastEnders.
He used to post photos of himself too.
He seemed to have a troubled life, I think he was a carer for his mum who suffered from depression, and they had up sticks and move away after he was held at knifepoint by a neighbour.

If I’m thinking of the same person (I’m sure it is), that Ryan Abbott was very pervy and he mentioned lusting over his foster brother or something, iirc he said he used to spy on him getting out of the bath and fantasized about him. Very open (boastful, even) about his sexual fantasies, which no one actually asked to hear about. Didn’t understand that some things are really better left unsaid. Bloody weirdo.

Edit: when I told him he was a pervert after his mentioning his foster brother voyeurism, of course Tanya pipes up and defends him because they were not blood related siblings and therefore nothing wrong with being a perv in those circumstances.

I have never been a believer that Tanya was real as when "she" first arrived it took a bit of time for her to get her life story sorted out. Sometimes she had two kids, sometimes one and she was also sometimes divorced and sometimes a widow from the same guy, but at one time said she never married. Get it right!

Anyone seen the chose about the "DS Soap Awards". The wrong person started the thread, there was a war, and now they are both "hosting" together. What a total shit show. Who cares that much. I had to laugh at Mr.Pitkin telling them all to "GROW UP!!! NOW!!!!" on every second post and Tanya telling a story about the time she hosted an award ceremony and hooked up with whoever it was.

I was on DS but was a prolific lurker, although I did occasionally post. I remember on general discussion someone quoted Tanya1982 and gave her a piece of their mind. I then quoted it and added a few extra of my own thoughts. That gave me my one and only warning.

Just logged into check and it was @Notorious PIG / Victoria Sponge that I’d quoted! Both of our posts were removed.

If memory serves me correctly it was this post that triggered it. Her usual made up crap pretending to be mega posh and wealthy. I’ve scrubbed my name in the warning screenshot as other posts have identifiable info (in 2008!)

The moderation is a bit mental there. Never understood it. One thing I like about Tattle is we know who the mods are.

Victoria Sponge. I think she got some creepy PMs. She was a very attractive lady who baked nice cakes.

The bloke who worked at a supermarket and was constantly complaining about it and calling customers 'time wasters'. It's like, dude, get another job! Forgotten his name.

NeckClicker - got attacked by a bully at school and his neck had clicked ever since and he was very bitter about it.

Tara something or other who made up ridiculous ghost stories about her family.

Thanks for the very kind shout out! I’m now a middle aged frumpy old bag and sadly I couldn’t move my little cake business abroad (bloody impossible German bureaucracy) so no more cakes. One day in the future, hopefully.

Yes, I did get uninvited pm’s from one of the resident forum pervs/weirdos, and he turned bitchy/bitter when I politely advised him to get help/counselling for his odd behaviour. So I turned off my pm’s for a while, then he ended up eventually getting banned.

It was essentially years of one poster having a conversation with herself, with an occasional visit from someone else who clearly felt bad for the poor cow.

He’s well known for starting threads asking the most inane questions ever -

“Will Emmerdale have an episode dedicated to Easter this year?’’

“Will Eastenders be celebrating Baphomet on the full, blood red moon this year?”

“Will today’s episode of Coronation Street have a scene of David Platt taking a shit?”

It makes me laugh that people point the finger at Tattle.

Especially when the biggest cess pit is Digital Spy forums. A forum where only one opinion is allowed and supported by their overtly bias moderators. Moderators whom are supposed to be impartial but are anything but.

It is a shame that the same MPs whom demand Tattle is shut down, don't also look at sites like DS Forums - where they will find it is much worse.

I suspect a big reason for the push against Tattle specifically is free speech is encouraged here. We can disagree with each other and it's mostly fine. I've only seen the mods needing to step in rarely. It's a breath of fresh air compared to most other places online.

MPs will be some of the people most loathing of free speech, we've seen it over and over in the last couple of years.

Digital Spy is foul but AVF manages to be even worse, which is an amazing feat.

Basically don't bother with either place unless you want to be more bleeding heart liberal than thou. Nobody else is welcome, this is very clear. Especially with AVF, holy smokes what an echo chamber.

Not the only problem with either site, the main issue is a whole lot of posters who, no matter what their politics, are just fucking nasty cunts.

Does anyone remember the actor who Chris Parker, who played Spencer Moon in Eastenders? He also appeared on the very first series of Strictly and came runner up. Well he attempted to take his own life and had to be written out of the show, it was alleged it was in part because of awful stuff written about him in the DS soap forum and the mods had to make a pinned thread about it. We weren’t allowed to talk about him at all as there had obviously been a complaint made by either the BBC or his agent. I hadn’t thought about this for years until he was mentioned again in Eastenders recently. He has left acting altogether now I believe. The DS soap forum really was crazy back then.

I am too late, the posts have been deleted. It was a horrible post about all the "dead bodies" she has seen in her life, but it included a dead son. I have never seen any post from "her" to suggest such a thing before. Awful poster.

I knew that would happen. The Woman's a fruit loop fantasist. She did me a massive favour though getting me banned, I wouldn't have found my way here otherwise.
