What amused me was when they all tried to be more open-minded than thou, such as stories like a woman caught performing a sex act on the beach. A bunch of the general discussion regulars could not rush to shrug their shoulders at it fast enough. It was okay because you could barely make out what she was doing in the video, etc...

The AVF doomsters are now talking up this latest HKU5 coronavirus. It won't be long before they start calling for another series of lockdowns and more boosters! They seem to relish being able to wallow in constant fear.
I remember when she did, it was very sad. Her posts were sometimes deservedly made fun of because she could be very much wanky donkey doing War and Peace style posts about stuff like how Big Brother was aiken to a collection of modern classic novels to her in terms of societial importance but aside from that was a good egg.

There was a really nice member on DS called Pumping Iron. Mixed English-Chinese from iirc East Mids. He got banned simply for writing a comment wisely advising someone not to get into transgender discussions on the forum.
Chap from Ireland called Plums and Pearls, I liked his posts. He did join AVF and posted for a while, before announcing he was taking a back seat. He didn’t say why, but fair enough.
Also a very nice poster was Laureline. Highly smart, intelligent professional lady, but never came across as up herself or superior or anything like that. She is French-German, speaks those languages plus, she writes in perfect English. She was on DS and joined AVF.

I recall someone being banned simply for replying "I agree" when someone said they did not think JK Rowling was transphobic. I can't remember who but what utter lunacy.
Do you remember a French user called 'Pierre' ? I think they got banned suddenly. There was also a Japanese woman called 'Takea' who I think was also banned.
I remember getting into long debates with Wonkydonkey, she said that she would take a days holiday off work to research what we were arguing about, she was on the Big Brother forums often.
