I posted for years, loved Keo Line, gosh there used to be some fab general discussions and the early days Big Brother was great. I ended up there when Chamnel 4 forums closed and it was between here and AV when DS closed their decent forums.

I remember Keyser Soze, Ducky Lucky, and the dreaded Tanya, jeez she was a nightmare, had done everything and been everywhere. The McCann discussion always got so heated and then deleted so it's good to see it ongoing here.

Also who was the guy who got off on wearing animal costumes? James something?

The covid threads were horrendous. I had a look at AVF for the first time in ages and a lot of the DS lot are there, still banging on about who’s had their vaccine, should we bring back masks etc. Years later! It’s wild.

I actually started the huge covid holiday cancellation thread. It was towards the end of February and we had a week in Tenerife booked. I'd just seen on the news that folk were kept in their hotel rooms and posted that I wasn't sure if I should go, we were to leave the next week.

It was so interesting to see the different attitudes, some cautiious and some saying, no way were they not going on their holiday in July.......then lockdown happened it all took a different turn.

Thanks for the very kind shout out! I’m now a middle aged frumpy old bag and sadly I couldn’t move my little cake business abroad (bloody impossible German bureaucracy) so no more cakes. One day in the future, hopefully.

Yes, I did get uninvited pm’s from one of the resident forum pervs/weirdos, and he turned witchy/bitter when I politely advised him to get help/counselling for his odd behaviour. So I turned off my pm’s for a while, then he ended up eventually getting banned.

There were a few creepy guys people had run ins with, who would make comments and then when people took issue with it they would say the women clearly just had no sense of humour

YES!! That’s the one!

He told the whole forum he was “in love” with me, didn’t name me but somehow made it obvious and then everyone clocked it was me straight away. His “feelings” for me were based on nothing more than my general posts on the forum, none of which could’ve been interpreted as flirting with him whatsoever, and some pics that I’d posted and at one point a bunch of us linked out Twitter accounts to our DS profiles so probably from that too.

I’d actually thought (well, hoping) he was joking at first but then he pm’d me to clarify. Naturally I thought it was weird as duck and but I was initially quite polite in telling him that it is very odd behavior to declare “love” for someone you’ve never met, and I advised him to seek professional help.

Two other young ladies from the forum, really lovely they were too and I used to talk to them a fair bit, also had creepy interactions with him and he was even much worse with them, he found them through their linked twitter accounts.

Oh yes I forgot about his prostitute escapades!

I remember someone having the strangest argument with him about women with children who then get into a relationship with a new partner.

Something along the lines of him saying this means the father can stop paying child support as she's got another man. He could absolutely not see what people meant when they tried to explain but the original man is the father of the kids so should still provide for them, and still want to provide for them. It went round and round.

He posted a lot on the Sleeping Dogs forum and was Billy big bollix for a while but the posters in there were like sharks in a tank From what I remember he was a landlord of some description and they named him Rigsby. He kept saying the ladies he paid really enjoyed it.

I remember Anne 666 who was very vocal until her last post where she went into a lot of detail about a traumatic event and never posted again. I kinda liked her.

You were one of my favourite posters on DS! I remember how you'd speak about your personal experiences with race and the absolute mental cases who'd condescend to you like their lives depended on it, made me so mad on your behalf but you were always so graceful.

It's a shame DS was so badly moderated because there were good posters too, sadly many were banned by the barmy aforementioned mods or just driven away by the bullies and general dysfunction of the place.

Yep, there was a small group on there that seemed to hate me because I am an Asian person who wasn’t a destitute, poverty stricken loser with no prospects (like them) begging for white “liberal”, “progressive” saviors to rescue me from daily persecution in the “racist” UK and US

They reported MY posts for being RACIST so I got a couple of temp bans and it was obvious I was gonna get a perma ban soon after (which I did, cos I made a couple of posts calling out one or two posters racist comments, plus I told the Tanya person some home truths).

It was really nice that in the run up to my ban I got several pm’s from forum members who were so supportive of me and really sick of how bad things there had become. Sad that a small minority of kooks

I enjoyed my time on AVF but sadly I started seeing similar patronising type of posts, supported by the site owner too, so I took that as my time to leave there.

I do wonder what happened to her. Part of me thinks she may have died. But obviously you can't tell just from someone stopping posting on a forum.

I used to be a regular on DS, a long time ago now. I remember 5371Robert or whatever he was called, the prototype incel who was insanely jealous of his sister and couldn't get a girlfriend. At about the same time, there was LostPigeon, who posted strange videos of himself on holiday and said "coo" in his posts a lot. I think he had at least one other account, as he'd occasionally post a link to the Daily Mail with no "coo", and using normal English.

We also had Dream Stuffing, who had a weird sexual fetish about schoolboys and boys in sportswear, who used to get in arguments with ForestChav, another poster who was a bit too interested in teenage boys. Dream Stuffing was all over every discussion forum going at one point, until he suddently disappeared. I think he got put in jail. I'm sure I remember him admitting he was on probation, or had some sort of community order stopping him from going near schools.

There was some right weird people on there. I remember LostPigeon, also Dundee Lad and Ayrshire Man I think he was called who was also bloody rude.
