There were so many wronguns on there who openly boasted of their warped leanings. DS became something of a haven for these freaks in the last days of the general discussion/politics forums. Never understood why Hearst seemed to court such people while banning anyone normal!

The politics forum was appalling for bulliying... though only one side was sanctioned by the mods, of course. If you fought back, stood up for youself, disagreed, you got banned.

It's a better message board without those subforums but I'm really surprised it's still going at all. It can't make much money. I don't think you can even register there anymore.

That's the reason why I left and closed my account. The moderation was absolutely appalling and very one sided.

Trust Pilot reviews (just checked - currently rated 1.2 out of 5 out of average review votes) nearly all mention this.

Good to see people are calling out that hypocritical site owner. It is his site of course, and if he wants to act superior, and patronise/alienate members just because they don’t think the same as him politically, then that’s up to him…but like you I wouldn’t be surprised nor sympathetic if he steadily starts losing revenue over it.

If he don’t care about losing money, then fair play to him. But I remember in recent months he was crying about owning a Tesla, so clearly he ain’t so minted he can afford to just get rid of it and join tHe rEvOLuTiOn

I literally don't care how someone reacts to my post. I'm 35 years old, not at primary school.

I don't notice most of the time unless someone laughs at something heartfelt/sensitive. Even then I'm mostly just ??? to myself unless I'm in a proper bitchy mood.

I used to be a regular on DS, a long time ago now. I remember 5371Robert or whatever he was called, the prototype incel who was insanely jealous of his sister and couldn't get a girlfriend. At about the same time, there was LostPigeon, who posted strange videos of himself on holiday and said "coo" in his posts a lot. I think he had at least one other account, as he'd occasionally post a link to the Daily Mail with no "coo", and using normal English.

We also had Dream Stuffing, who had a weird sexual fetish about schoolboys and boys in sportswear, who used to get in arguments with ForestChav, another poster who was a bit too interested in teenage boys. Dream Stuffing was all over every discussion forum going at one point, until he suddently disappeared. I think he got put in jail. I'm sure I remember him admitting he was on probation, or had some sort of community order stopping him from going near schools.

There was another user called 'Lee Morris' who posted weird sexual fetish stuff.
