In the aftermath of the Runcorn & Helsby result, this is a great example of how the AVF echo chamber works and the general "head in the sand" attitude of the regular left wing posters. Someone puts up the post below as a thread starter and it hasn't gone down very well! Replies like "Nearly threw up in my mouth seeing this thread" and "Absolutely no need for this thread, I hope the mods close it".

I agree that Conservatives made themselves unelectable, Labour are fast doing the same.
Lib Dem have a leader who is doing his level best to sabotage the party's credibility. There seems to be little talk of them being a contender.
Does this point to the real possibility of Nigel Farage being Britains next prime Minister?

Unfortuantely yes. I mentioned him upthread. He's another poster who I think might have died.
I remember Soma from the LBC thread, understandably got very short shrift on there but for some reason was always nice to me, never knew why.
Soma was very odd and was a prolific poster who suddenly disappeared. I'm sure Iain Dale, who would post occasionally, was convinced they were some activist but I can't for life off me think who it was.
She did get banned but it wasn’t a perma one, she was entitled to post again but never returned.. not such a terrible thing as she created so many grey spaces on my own pages, and it wasn’t a case of whether or not I agreed or disagreed with her I just couldn’t get my head round what she was on about

Skimming through this thread, sorry for quoting old post, there's a poster on here with that exact name who also at times speaks about her trauma, may be the same person.
I used to be on DS too many many years ago, mainly on a KP thread (which always got shut down) and Reality TV forum - American Idol, Masterchef and Strictly mainly.
oh just seen this so my previous post was clearly incorrect.
Another nice poster who I hope is well - The large Controller. He was always kind and amusing.
It is interesting to see clearly different people using the same username on different sites.

Oh yes, he did! I'd forgotten about that. Paul from Manchesterford as Steve Allen would say on the messages he read out.
I've remembered the poster I mentioned up-thread. Refers to women as 'lasses' and said if a woman pisses him off he will hit her - zx50, an absolute melt.
They are still a regular poster on DS
