Does anyone have any recommendations for fashion bloggers 35 - 45 years old please who buy their clothes from midrange shops (which I class as anything from Zara to Reiss to Rixo)? Not Lydia Millen though - she lost me at “country grandma”

It’s because body positivity is huge on IG. The other day she posted a story which was a video montage of body positivity influencers and I recognised one of the girls… turns out was an old coworker of mine. Completely stunned me. She had 33k followers, now she has 36k and all she does is post photos of her belly. It’s really an easy way to get a big following and that’s all Leah wants.

It makes me so mad how much shit she spews. Yes you’ve had an eating disorder but you’re not an expert. Diagnostic criteria for anorexia and bulimia are both based on BMI - something like under 17 for BMI. of course you have to meet enough diagnostic criteria for a diagnosis, but to say there’s no set weight is her talking out of her pancake arse. Nice of her also to share stories on it without a trigger warning…

She really infuriates me with this by trivialising eating disorders which can end up killing people. Extreme or obsessive dieting is NOT an eating disorder.

The caption in her latest post, about how wonderful her outfit is The cheap and tacky looking skirt that she seems to dig out every week for a styling reel. Combined with the boots, and the blazer with the sleeves rolled up. She wouldn’t look out of place stood on a street corner trying to sell herself. And this is one of her looks that she rates apparently.

God every time she shows off her nails it makes me feel sick because she has such skeletal hands and the colours and glitter she goes with are so old fashioned!

Hideous. Who thinks that combo works? I looked at her nail artist and she did some quite nice designs, but this is what Leah picks.

Ugh did she really work with Penhaligons? That’s disappointing of them.

Same birthday set up every year…. with gifts she bought herself. During a cost of living crisis when many people can’t afford to eat. And last Christmas she complained about parents buying their kids expensive gifts as others can’t keep up. Sickening.

Except makeup, 3 syringes of lip filler, teenager clothes and a ring light. So transparent … I hate that people associate 40 as suddenly looking decrepit. It’s 2022. . She looks 40 to me (and I know I shouldn’t say this but just being honest, her body looks much older because of all the crap she’s put through)

Yep, that was the photo that did it for me. There was a similar one a few weeks ago. She's piling on weight and hiding it, hiding her true size from her followers, definitely not body acceptance in my opinion....

She was one of many influencers that did a shoot with Kaye Ford back in the day, when apparently that was all the rage (they usually included a visit to Elan and/or Peggy Porshen)

Yup she hired fordtography and staceywhite_photography for her unoriginal influencer shoots. Would love to know how much she paid them. The captions back then are hilarious too, my fave is ‘shopping is an art. I’m an artist’ . She was so desperate to be in those ranks. how dare she even say this hah

Name change. I guess she didn’t want tattle coming up when people/companies googled her.

Also don’t understand why she complained so much that Tiktok delete her underwear posts because she’s not skinny. It’s the majority of her feed

In fairness, I think she meant they delete them because of how she looks rather than just because she’s in underwear. TikTok is renowned for being discriminatory against people who don’t look aesthetically perfect - they allow videos of size 6 girls in underwear but no one bigger.

I think they all do that - answer their own so they can use affiliate links. I’ve tested this a few times with Leah and others and they’ve never posted/answered my questions.
