Also don't like chains for a long strap, so many nice bags I'd like to get ruined by a chain.
I had a bag that had chains and one day when I was in the supermarket at the self service, the chain slid into the gaps of the self service machine and got stuck somehow! It wasn’t an expensive bag by any means but as a poor student I wasn’t going to leave it behind. Though I did start to panic that I’d have to live in Asda for the rest of my life.

I went a little OTT in recent years getting LV bags, mostly monogram and mostly old/used but now I feel like a have a bag to suit every occasion and every outfit so I’m taking a break from that.

My last two bags I bought in January, two used Alma bb’s in epi leather. One red and one light pink. Both superb condition. Epi leather is very durable.

I’m mostly getting secondhand bits of fashion jewelry, mostly Ferragamo. I would like some old Tiffany pieces. And I’m into blazers at the moment, I got a gorgeous white-ish/silvery/royal blue patterned Etro blazer, and bronze Armani (one of their old, cheaper spin off brands) blazer with black floral detail.

So basically, anything luxury/high end brand I’m getting secondhand (and the rest is Shein! 😂).
I’m just so worried about ending up with a fake with second hand now. I bought all my designer bags second hand (except my mulberry) but fakes are literally rife I just don’t trust anything anymore. I have nothing against if someone wants to buy a fake but don’t then try to sell it as a genuine. It’s really putting me off buying now which is such a shame. Like looking on vinted 90% of designer bags are all new with tags…. Like surely that’s a red flag for a fake cause who is buying a £2k + bag and not even taking the tags off then selling it???

I had one of the Tiffany interlocking rings bought for me and it broke within 3 months. Literally snapped in half (and I have a desk job, so not particularly rough with my hands). Complained to Tiffany so they offered to repair it but when it came back you could still see when it had snapped.

it was over £1000, so I kicked up a fuss and finally (after speaking to them three times) got my money back and returned the item. I was so disappointed with the quality and customer service - never again! I refuse to buy from them now.

did anyone go to bicester recently and score anything?
I'm going on the 27th November as got complementary special parking and hands free shopping after some faff with members parking last time. Be rude not to.

I have also sinned everyone. Labubu got me. So all my designer bags are now adorned by one 🙈🤣

My husband works at Bicester Village, we get access to family and friends sales and they are pretty epic!

What’s on everyone’s wish list? I usually treat myself after Xmas but I’m feeling uninspired this year.
My dream is still a Chanel. But I just refuse to pay the prices now. Especially as their quality has gone down. Plus the hardware used to be actual 24k gold and now it’s just plated.
I need to start looking at good quality 90’s bags

Don’t know if they are still ‘fashionable’ but I bought an orange longchamp Le pliage in France. Caught my eye and couldn’t come home without it 🤷🏼‍♀️

What designer items if any are you investing in this year? I don’t really have the funds for much at the moment but it would be nice to have a wishlist item. I do like the look of the YSL Le 37 bucket bag but it’s quite similar to other bags I already have. I haven’t seen much else I’m inspired by yet but I do plan on visiting the new Polene store in London as well at some point.
I had a trip to Bicester village at the start of the week and treated myself to a medium Lily from Mulberry 🙊 I also got a few other bits including a couple of bargains in Lululemon. Now to be good for January 😆

I find quite a few bags don’t seem to have zips and I get that this is a design choice but I worry about any items just falling out. I was looking at the Hermes Picotin (not that I could afford it) and it has a wide opening but only one strap to close it. Doesn’t look very secure!
When you're rich enough you don't care if you lose anything

Anderson’s belts are lovely. Great quality and not too trendy. Me and my DH both have one, they aren’t that expensive either. You can get them at NAP.

edited to add I’ve just given myself a slap for writing DH instead of “husband” 😩
